Generally correct, as long as brushless is allowed. Some tracks might still require the kit brushed motors, best to check with the tracks you plan on racing at to be sure.

I got one that is basically new for sale, literally has 20 minutes run time on it. Looks new and comes with box. I got it for buggy I built only to realize I don't really like 2wd buggies
