Guys, what ESC & how many Turn motor do u normally use for a Tamiya Hilux? Also, I was told certain ESCs are not capable of handling the light unit for the truck.

adrictan: Most ESCs can handle high-turn motors and the lights. If you're buying the Tamiya Light Unit, it already comes with an esc. The kit comes with a 27T (silvercan) motor which is a bit fast for scale driving. Get either a 45T or 55T motor. Hope to see you in the trails chief.
