I have tested those, it was a little too much play in suspension using those.
So i went back to stock set up, but the negative camber is a little too much when running 2mm rideheight like we do at our track.

My interest is really peaked by the new 25.5 USVTA systems offered by Novak. Seems to me, these would be a good match for the mini cooper with performance similar to a good silver can but much more consistent. I'm looking forward to our club making the switch to brushless for the Minis. Maybe this will be the right combo to make it happen. The price is certainly very reasonable. Maybe next year........

Quite a bit actually. I have the Tamiya steering on mine. I have seen the 3 racing version and it looks to be an effective upgrade as well. It takes quite a bit for me to recommend anything from 3 racing as I think most of their stuff is crap. But this part seems to be the exception.

kinda mad, pulled out the mini to start fiddling with it. wanted to get rid of some of the slop in steering so car wouldnt wander at higher spd. the previous owner had new m03/4 ally uprights new in the tamiya bag. i pull em out and their nothing like the plastic units on car. the p# on manual and on hangcard are good. then i find on tamiya's website that they wont fit newer minis. WTH!!!

what do i need to make them work?

Im about to buy a second hand M03 to race. We race on carpet and the only control measure is a club issued 27t brushed motor.
Can some one please condense into a list what are generally regarded as good mods to make to the car please?
Ive noticed that alot of guys at our club lunch a lot of gears and diffs so maybe this is a good place to start?

The older style M03/04 alloy uprights (silver) require part no. 50736 TL01 B parts.
Also the king pins to suit - part no.9415451 step screw 4x11.5mm or the optional king pin - 53141 4WD touring & rally car lightweight king pins.

The more recent M03M F parts are interchangeable with the M05 plastic knuckles and king pins.

The Tamiya as well as 3racing are good pieces(I also never say that about 3r haha). I personally run the Tamiya to sustain TCS legality, but have friends running the 3r pieces and there steering is spot on.

With both brands and the inconsistencies in steering for the mini's some shimming is helpful. I run two shims under and 1 shim above the bellcrank arms and the steering has no up/down slop.
