Nah the Losi 350 is quite a capable engine. It's not going to make you a super fast racer. Driving skill does that. If you handed Adam Drake a Losi 350 to run...he would still wipe the floor with you. It's not a rocket ship, it's just a basic starter engine. It will get you racing at a decent pace while you hone your skills....

Depending on how the engine performs at 270 yes it can be ran. As long as you have a nice smoke trail when you accelerate and your car is not hesitant off the line your temp is fine. But if your car begins to have a really high pitched bog noise then you might want to richen it up a bit.

I had a RTR Losi 8ight 2.0 and the stock motor liked to run (for me) around 260. Try as I might to get it to run cooler, I couldn't with it still running well, it would end up running like shit.
I ran it at 260F for about 3 gallons of fuel before I sold it with no issues, it ran very stable.
So take that as you will.

1. Dont tune by temp but watch ur temp, Im not sure what the losi engine runs at but tune where its got good power band and runs the way u want it.
2.The on-board temp isnt 100% accurate to a temp gun i would just use a temp gun and take off the on-board temp.
3. 300 degrees is way to high for any engine im sure the losi engine should only be around 260 MAX but like i said i dont know the engine at all.

honestly if it has or dont have a air leak you should seal it with some engine sealant, Lucky 7 rc makes some for like 7 bucks or so and you can buy car stuff also from like kragen etc etc and you wont have to worry about the air leak again.

All Alpha engines run around 280. OS VG/RG run at 260-270, some engine do run hotter than others, def depending on elevation and humidity and other factors. i have seen quite a few losi 350 engines run around 270 and some run at 220. it just depends, if it runs great at 270 and has good smoke and power, it wont hurt it.

Shadow I'm pretty new too. Less than 6 months in the hobby I noticed you've made a couple threads recently. I think you'd do better to just go thru and read some of the existing threads around now and you would answer a lot of your own questions without having to make a bunch. Thats what I did. I know everyone has to start somewhere and I don't mean to shoot you down. It will just help you learn a little easier and save some of these guys patience for the really important questions. Hope that helps, there is a lot of info on here if you just start reading.
