RUNNING HOT!!

well i have an 18t with a 3s turnigy lipo (yes i know theyre cheap, dont need to hear it) and a mamba 25 esc... eveerytime i run it the esc runs pretty hot, havent taken any temp readings but its hot to the touch , and the motor, at times when its hot out gets VERY HOT, ill drop a tiny bit of water an it sizzles away, what is wrong with this, can i program on my castle link to make it not be so hot? and i do have a micro fan i can cool it down with but still need to know how to fix it....

Yup sounds like high gearing - if you're running stock gearing with that fast of a motor you should definitely be geared down if you want to run for more that a few minutes. Also, not sure about that particular motor, but most 8000Kv motors are only rated for 2S.

As long as you're using low stating power and no timing on the esc the temp probs will have to be addressed by gearing changes. Try smaller pinion and see how much that drops temps.
From what I've seen, this motor and kv have a rep for running hot and gearing doesn't help that much. If its runnning over 200F, it won't last long, you'll weaken/demag the magnets inside the motor.
