Is there any list of all the new changes to the 4.1FT compared to the old FT and what those changes are? Oople has mentioned chassis, rear plate, and what seems like a lot of other parts other than the obvious shocks and towers.

Some of the TEAM is running two limiters and then unscrewing the end to get more tune-ablity into the shock. If they run one limiter and don't unscrew it they can only adjust them one way. If they run two and unscrew the end then the adjustments don't require dis-assembling the entire shock. Just tightening the end back up. In that particular setup he must have chosen 1/2 turn back in.

Built mine tonight. Had one of the CVA axles that wasn't milled correctly. The shaft end will not fit into it, to put CVA together. Kinda sucks, guess I will call AE Monday

The B4.1 kit really surprised me at how different it is from the B4 kits. It's really a re-designed car imo.
There's a couple things I REALLY don't like though.
One being the CVA's. You have to really work to get the shafts centered, if you don't then they'll vibrate like crazy likely ruing the hub bearing life. Kinda silly how much play you can get in them.
Second you gotta be really careful to only barely tighten the transmission case screws. The thread lock is a must here. The transmission spins really free until you put any torque on the screws. The cases plastic must be a LOT softer than previous ones, it's crazy how bad the tranny binds when any torque is applied to the screws. Not to mention my kit didn't come with thread lock, they really should.

my kit's diff outdrives weren't machined correctly, such that the diff screw won't thread into the t-nut and the cva bag was missing the roll pins 
i picked up replacement outdrives from my lhs, and faxed in ae's "defective" parts form for that, and used some solid roll pins that i was going to put in anyway.
still have the v2 shocks to build. hopefully nothing is defective/missing in those bags!

Double check that all your bearings are fully seated in the case halves. Second, it could be the topshaft spacer. I had to go to B4 rear axle spacer and shim accordingly. I found the topshaft spacer is a tad too long and causes it to bind when tightening down.

Just finished building my FT b4.1. And all went well as far as tolerences. It was missing two internal shock spacers so I had to use from my stash, but other then that it went together perfectly. By the way the roll pins were not in the cva bag, but in a seperate bag altogether. And My tranny does not bind at all even when tightend down.

Everything in mine went together great, and yes the roll pins come in a whole other bag, i think it was with the body clips and such. With the cva's you have to add a 3rd axle shim to both sides imo. My FTsc10 really needed a 3rd shim as well.
My tranny was smooth as butter and i tried cranking on the screws to see if it would bind and it didnt. MOst likely a bearing might be slightly unseated. Usually if everything is seated correctly and there is still a bind its just the case itself. The old cases were like this as well, some just didnt come out of the molds well.
The manual calls for 2 shock limiters front and rear and I only got 1 each for the front shocks. No big deal though its all driver preferance, i dont like that much limiting on the tracks i run on.
It is like building a whole "different" b4. the quality is much higher than even the FTB4 i built new in march( or the 6 others before that lol). Id say 85% of the kit is new/different.
