While RPM make's all type's of parts for all type's of RC vehicle...installing them correctly is crucial.

Here's the method I use....Before poping the ball's into the cups I heat them in boiling water. This is to help them re-turn to origianal diameter after strecthing them from installation. The plastic is softer when it commes out of the boilng water. I also install them from the bottom upthat way if they do
stretch it will not pop off from landing hard since the top is still original size.

Just a tip I use on my RPM stuff .....Arm's, ball cup's it work's on all plastic's not just RPM.

+1. I've never popped a ball cup on my SC10. About a dozen race days on some of the biggest tracks. Heck I can't even remember when the last time I popped one on my B4, T4, B44...

Ehh, who cares about all that nonsense. If it's popping off all the time, get some captured ends, and then beef up the hinge mounts. If a part breaks, who cares, it's all replaceable.

After a ball cup pops a few times I would replace it, most likely it has stretched out, even the rpm ones. For example the guy above has aluminum hubs.. so naturally all this pressure will move to that inside block, which will break when hit right, that or it will work the ball stud out of it and strip the plastic. So do you want to replace that part, or just pop the ball cup back in place? Your choice.
ThunderbirdJunkie will simply replace that piece when it breaks with its aluminum counterpart.
This is primarily a bash truck, and it gets run hard and beat harder than most of the SC10 owners in this thread are willing to run their trucks. Parts breakage is part and parcel when you're playing with toy cars, anyway
