I finally got the D5 engines, D5 Kit Specials, and Exhaust Coolers on the website.. I'm such a slacker. Enjoy! Nate.

Ok this weekend I got to run the D5 combo kit in its first race with a semi race tune and the motor was flawless. The track was large with lots of big jumps and loooong straights and the D5 made small of everything thrown its way. The weather was hot (99 and humid) the motor came in after every 5 min qual at 240 with a 1/4 10 1/3 fuel left. The A main was 15 minutes so obviously I came in for one pit at 7 1/2 and finished 2nd overall with a temp of 265 and motor was still idling flawless and showing no signs of power loss or tuning issue. It was my first showing with my Agama so I was learning the car and testing a motor at the same time. Alot of people kept asking man what kind of motor was it and everytime the response was (preciro what?), hopefully in time the name but the performance is awesome. i will definitely be adding a few more to my collection after furthor test of longwear, but as for now get one, you won't regret it.

Your motor did look very good out there Saturday. Everybody was struggling to get decent runtimes on the large track. I know myself and most of the field had to come in twice during the main. I think I might have to consider one of these for my next mill.

NitroLuver,

To tell you the truth I have not tested it. But it runs well on the PR21C so I would imagin it will do the same with this engine. But we have seen the best runtime/power ratio with the 0801 Pipes.

Anymore feedback on these mills? How's the power delivery with the combo pipe (FEMCA 0801 set)

I'm hearing they're GO based, which is good cuz I really like my GoTech. However, I'm wondering about origins of the company, whether or not they're gonna stick around, and parts availability.

These are Go based. I've been looking into the Go's quite a bit lately. I know the US distributors are selling Go's with the short needle conversion already but I think these still come with the long. If you do some research you'll find that in many country's people prefer the long for better run time and more throttle "feel". When I was asking about the Go's one of the NZ sellers gave me an awesome tuning guide helping with the differences in short vs long needle. It was such a good explanation I asked him to post it on the tuning bible and he did. It's by grizz and is on the last or next to last page of the bible. He also has alot of info under tech tips at his site that are very easy to understand.

This is correct and good info. We do still offer our engines with the long needle. But we do also have the short needles instock for anyone who likes them better!

Yeah, if you're not a great tuner it's best to get a short needle carb.

The long needle requires perfect balance between gap, lsn and hsn. It's also pretty sensitive to plugs, proper shimming, fuel, and outside temps and humidity. Even with the short needle the Go engines tune from the gap and LSN first instead of a more traditional hsn method (like OS).

In general, if your engine is performance ported and transfers efficiently it'll be more finicky than a standard engine. Just get a short needle and be patient with these go-based engines. They're totally worth it!

I don't understand the mentality of buying a budget racing motor to save some coin only to turn around and put a $50-$75 carb on it so it tunes and runs correctly. I'm not knocking this brand or the distributor just speaking from my past experience with go, extech etc. Seems as though everyone of these cheaper asian based mills cut's costs at the carb.

I'm running this exact motor in both my buggy and truggy without any problems. I originally got it for my buggy to try out and found the quality and power to be second to none. I just finished break in on the second motor for my truggy and the damn thing is awesome. I would not mess with the motor pipe combo it is perfect, my buggy has over 4 gallons, ridiculous compression, still original R3 plug and delivers consistant 8-10 minutes. I'm not the best engine tuner but these motors hold a tune better then my previous P5XL. Guys don't hesitate to add this line to your collection, I sold my Alpha greeen and orange head BNIB cause I was so impressed with this product.

The GX series GO motors have absolutely NO carb issues!

I have the 21C version, and this is just a heads up or FYI of what can happen, my motor has 1/2 gallon on it, and makes great power, and great run time. Last weekend, I noticed some fuel seepage behind the flywheel, no problem I'll put a TKO in. Upon pulling the head off, this is what the piston looked like, and after further tear down the whole piston is like this, crank, sleve and rod show no markings or pitting. I contacted Acend/PR-RC, and went back and forth, I'm concerned about the realiablility now, they indicated that I may have left the motor out in the open and that could have caused it, no, not true. There latest responce is " they see no problem
running in this situation". To say the least I'm not happy with it, the motor still has good compression and pinch, does run for how long who knows. I thought atleast they'd send a repalcement piston and sleeve. What do you think?
