just try gold/green alum shoe setup.
I run 2 composite Losi shoes with green springs, and 2 Dynamite aluminum shoes with gold springs and have plenty of bottom end grunt to clear any jump I have encountered. The composite shoes do wear faster in the truggy then in my buggy though.

To be honest im not really sure. When I pull off my clutch bell to inspect my bearings I take a look at my shoes. I can usually deburr my aluminum shoes twice before I need to change out my all my shoes and springs.

i use the dynomite shoes and, they actually dont seem to blur that much really i just sand down the rough edges.

il just stick with my alum shoes, but than again i could use the 2 plastic shoes when the track gets dry (hobby hut ).

ur on crack lol. unless u have the wrong engine for ur truggy the green/gold comp/alum works great in truggy. as far as wear i can get about 2 gallons out of mine. that is tossing them no later then 23.4. Ive used this setup with my nova +4 and my ninja. the +4 isnt the greatest truggy engine but it worked, had enough bottom end to clear anything.

I put 3 gallons on my composite shoes/black springs in my buggy and while worn out, for race applications, they would have worked fine for a practice or club day.

I currently am running all losi blue aluminum with two gold/two silver in my truggy on my GRP tuned .21. It helps get past the weak bottom end of the GRP. I tried it first with two gold/two green/all aluminum and found it to lack
a touch of bottom end. This setup seems perfect and it has just over a gallon on it with very little wear.

i run the rb s5 engine on the truggy, im not saying that i dont have enough punch to clear a jump . maybe i try the 2 plastic shoes and see whats happens.

i have to say the 4 alum shoe setup, is a bit much when the track is dry lol.

i wont run all alum just because your creating more heat in the cluch and the slag doesnt get cleaned up since there is no comp shoes. with more heat in the bell you CAN blow bearings and warp the bell. If i would of kept running nova i might of gone up in springs to all gold. Silver is just to much.

I did get to see the alpha in action not long ago, im real tempted to grab one,i know off topic lol

im running the high endurance, losi clutch bell and it doesnt feel like any groves or anything im proberty, gone to have to get a new one soon.

the tko clutch bearings are, still smooth with the alum clutch setup
but i try the 2 comp shoes a lot, of people though say use a all alum clutch setup on a truggy.

I hate high endurance bells, they strip easier, since the 2.0 came out ive never stripped a reg bell but anytime i put a high endurance one on i strip it. Btw i was talking to billy fisher about those bells. He said they allow you clutch to slip more to because of the harder material in the bell.

oh im gone to be getting a new, one anyways proberty the robinson eight clutch bell i did notice a slip in my clutch.... during the begining of my main im guessing that i could be, the endurance clutch bell because i dint see any blurs on the dynomite shoes.

i mean the edges get a bit rough not where that would hang.

Robinson bells are the best bells I've used on the losi cars. I've used both losi versions and the robinson ones. The standard losi ones are sloppy around the bearings, the high endurance bells are just weird and the robinson bells are perfect. Well they're a bit heavier than the others, but they last a long time and have a nice tight bearing fit.
