went to hardware store and got graphite powder, but it doesn't stick at all. Then went to the auto parts store and found some graphite grease spray by jigaloo. spray on, bonds and when the aerosole evaporates in a couple of seconds it is bone dry but coats everything and sticks very well. Looks really, really promising. Coated the whole end of the bone inside and out and axle inside and out and the cvd inside and out. Should work very well.

Hope fully it will keep bearings from sticking to the axle as well It even states for bearings, precision parts, chains, metal to metal and is also for high temperature.

I have used that spray with good success.

after i sprayed it and still wet i coated it with the graphite powder. Dried up real nice!

O'donnel o'lube is nice, leaves a wax surface and is intended specially for drive shafts and such...
