Lol, guess it's the pack mentality! One person gets one first and then everyone has to have one!

we have a b5 and b6 . the b5 is perfect . but the b6 with only 2 races we can not get it to idle right sometimes it is good for a minute and then leans real bad . and on the track it stays at high rpm in the air then when we fill in the pits it bogs and stalls . we bought a new fuel tank , siliconed the carb still with no luck . we also have tried both pipes 2057 and 2013 . we would appreciate any help possible .

Also, how much of a gap are you running for idle? It should be half the size of a credit card. Where are your needles positioned also?
By the looks of your picture you are running a Losi 8ight, is this correct?

we tried everything . finally checked the last thing possible as suggested by local racers . we put the piston at top dead center and removed the back plate and as suspected by the local racers the back bottom of the piston has a chunk missing causing the motor to lean . the piece was ground up by the motor causing other internal problems . we really liked the power and smoothness of the b6 . we ran the b5 tonight , it ran great as always. great motors we must have just got a bad one . would still recommend the b6 as a top choice . Thanks for all the suggestions you guys are a great help .

The only way that the back bottom of the piston skirt can get a chunk broken out of it is really by not having the piston at top dead center when removing the back plate. Is it possible that this happened?
