Also I wanted to take a second and thank all of the people that have given our new B6 a shot! I talk to a lot of people daily and the responses that I have gotten about the performance, power-band and run time of the engine have been enthusiastic to say the least!
For all of you that have been wondering how a B6 performs and wanting to see one in action Neobuggy put up a video of the 30 minute semi-finals at this years ROAR Off Road Nats which has some good footage of Kortz driving in it. The video can be found here:

Kortz is driving the white buggy which white wheels and is using a box stock B6, again we do not modify or give special engines to our team drivers they run standard off the shelf engines just like everyone gets which I think is important. I say that because when you see a fast guy or a pro running one of our engines you know that if you decide to pick one up it will have exactly the same performance! Click on the Odd Semi Final video to see him run, there is stiff competition in there including Drake, Cody King, Mayfield Dakota Phend, Lutz and a couple others. Around the middle of the race Kortz took over the lead and ended up finishing second a few seconds behind Drake!
Regards,
Ron

hey Ron, question for you.. why doesn't kortz go 10min on a tank? i have never seen him run more than 8min per pit stop...haven't ran your B5 that i have yet.. but i was just wondering if it gives such good mileage.. why doesn't he take advantage of that

I'd think it'd have to do w/ confidence, insurance and strategy...
In a 30 min main if you can get 10 minute pit stops than in theory you'd only have to pit twice. However being that close to being out of fuel means that your 10 minutes better hit right when you're approaching pit lane or else you risk running out of fuel say 1/2 way thru a lap. So for a bit of wiggle room your gonna pit at less than 10 minutes which means now you must pit 3 times instead of 2. 3 pits at 8 min intervals means you finish the race w/ "2 min left" of fuel based on your strategy (pits at 8min, 16min, 24 min.....next at 32 but race is over at 30, therefore 2 min extra). So pitting at 8 gives you confidence that you can run as hard as you want w/o worrying about running out or leaning out. Have you ever pushed right to the brink on your fuel level....temps start to rise as your leaner, the rpms stay up while in flight, basically it makes your engine performance change and now you have to drive differently to compensate......my 2 cents

Marshon gave some good info on making the decision. The other factor specifically at the nats was the elevation. The track was at an elevation of 6000 feet! So really high, to make power everyone was running 40% nitro and I've heard that some were ever running 50%! We ran 40% with an 8.5mm reducer, so this is a way different set up than what we would normally run anywhere else or frankly probably ever again! If you look at the video you will notice that some guys were pitting at 7:30-8:00 and you can hear the announcer mentioning 1 or 2 of them flaming out as they come into the pits lol. The set ups that everyone had to use at this track was simply not conducive to long run times but even at that we were getting 9 minutes which is quite good!

Got my B6's today! Thanks Ron! Can't wait to try these out! Anybody else gonna be rockin one at the Futaba race in St Louis next weekend?
Here is also one thing to take into consideration. Typically, most drivers are going to use a lot more fuel after their last pitstop. Just say if that would have been the A Main. If Kortz is in second, Drake in first, with two minutes to go. You can bet everything you have that Kortz is going to start pushing the issue trying to make up some ground. Therefore Jeremy will use more fuel. If you can only go 10:30 on a tank in qualifying. Your last tank in the main is probably gonna get you 10 minutes flat because you are driving that much harder. I've been on the losing end of this before, thats the reason I brought it up. hehe.
Now if your a calm, cool, collected character like Mr. Kortz, then this might not play as big of a factor for you. lol

Well another great weekend of racing here in Florida for the B6. I simply went club racing and ran the B6/2013 to push more fuel through it and WOW. Thats pretty much all there is to say. I am loving this combo, super smooth, tons of power, GREAT fuel mileage and of course the sound of the B6/2013 is unbeatable.

Brad, glad that you got them in! Let me know how things go in St. Louis!
Black, I think it's going to take a little bit of time for people to start realizing what this engine is all about lol! Almost 50% less than the Nova 21+4 yet with comparable build quality and comparable performance!

Ron,
I let everyone at my local club race squeeze on the motor and needless to say I am sure that there will be more B6's there the next time I show up. everyone was extremely impressed. Plus it is by far the most bang for your buck. Great product and price point.

Got the first engine on the break in stand, fired right up and idled forever. Typical Werks engine!
