Another plug that I found to run great and last
in my Clocked JL is the Dynamite #7(med.) turbo
plug. I had the engine tuned for the med. Picco
plug and when I switched to the Dynamite plug,
I didn't have to re-adjust the carb. I have ran
a gallon of fuel, taking plug readings after each
quart ran. The coil in the plug still looks great, perfect
color.

I ran another half gallon through my JL this weekend.
I was useing the same Dynamite plug and it ran great.
I'm not talking about any blip-blip running, I'm talking
about running on the pipe full throddle around the big D.O.
action. As always, I did this to see if the JL could
take the abuse. The JL and the plug never let me down.
It had a great top end and dug in great in the sweepers.
I never proclaimed that the Dynamite was THE plug to
run in these engines. I was just relateing that I tried
it and it is working just fine for me. The JL engine is one
of the easiest engines to tune there is. Even when there
is big changes in air temp and humidity, only very minor
tweeks in tune are needed, if any.
I'm going to bolt the JL in my DM-1. Lets see how it will
fare on the pavement this weekend. I think the JL will make
some great numbers on the radar gun.

On a Side note...the last 2 weekends ive ran Out of town race's and the JL has done me proud in Buggy....Last weekend was a smaller race in Pingree ND where the wind was near 50mph and literally blowing you to the back of the driver's stand...I ended up qualifying 3rd and taking the win in the A.
This past weekend was the JC Nats in Omaha Nebraska....Wow what a fun weekend....The track was technical to a point and had a few feature's that proved who had the Low end Tq and Who didn't....I Ended up running the gearing i showed up with 14/48 and never felt the need to remove the Steel flywheel dispute a lot of guys needing to drop down in gearing and play with shocks/rebound to get the POP they needed to clear the 2 section's....1 was a step up deal in front of the stand and the other was a split corner that you could cut inside and take the tripple if your motor had the Oomph to clear it.
After showing a couple other losi guys how i was building my shocks for max rebound we came to the conclusion that it was all the motor and had nothing to do with the shocks.(rebound helped alot but still wasn't popping the jumps as i could)
Overall the JL did me proud and i quali'd middle of the pack in the B and finished middle of the pack.....Stiff competition NO doubt.
Thx to Neal and John for all the hard work they have put into CRE I appreciate every thing.

, I have to work at Barber Friday through Monday. I did get up to Cullman Sunday and again tomorrow at the local track, very nice with a lot of elevation.Went to Nitro extreme yesterday in Phenix City, cool little club track with a nice stand and elevated pit with stands and bottle holders.
Off to Mad Max today to see if it's dry enough, it's been raining all week, the only week I had off of course.

Integra...any help you can give me would be appreciated...At the AMS looking for some bottom end on my stock JL...Went to a JP1 and geared 12/48...still lacks on bottom and still flies on top.....?????? Alan burton & co. Have built a short burst coure for the Novas.......

The mod JL's have massive bottom end, equivalent to a Picco.... On the dyno they show 50 oz/in as low as 12 000 rpm.....
to increase torque on a stock JL I would pull a head shim, the engines have very low compression in stock trim which will really hurt bottom end...when you remove a shim you will increase bottom, but may lose a slight amount of mileage...
