And it lasted for many gallons of fuel. Is the T9RC easy to tune and does it keep a tune? I see a combo package that is VERY tempting!
The RB engines are one of the easiest engines to tune.
The engine will keep tune all day without a problem.
You can't go wrong with an R3, T9 or T10.

Thanks, DS.
I see one of our major shops has a great deal on a combo package that's hard to ignore. GoodRacing!

Default big venturi purpose

Hello,
What is the purpose and the side effects, if any, of the big venturi that comes with the T10 RC?
Thanks

It accelerates and cleans up the airflow going into the carb so you will end up with a better mixture, thus more power.
The 2010 engines are really good, it's either a T10RC or a flash if you are searching for a .12 engine.

I drove against one last saturday and I must say they are fast, but not as fast as one of my RB engines.
Also it is known that the Sirio engines are hard to tune and they are fast but not for a long time.

The T9 and T10 have a bit more topend because of the higher exhaust port.
If I'm correct the T10RC also has a balanced crankshaft.
But an R3 would still be very competitive, actually my fastest engine (and probably the fastest of our entire class) is an R3RC from 2007.
It has done 11 litre's thus far but still locks up while starting if it hasn't been pre-heated.
It's around 5km/h faster on the main straight as any other modded motor, including Murnan's.

Another q. I'm gonna give up my 30% nitro for 20%. With the T9, do I add a shim? Should I follow the in-car engine break-in on the RB site? I was always a heat cycle guy and have had good luck.

The T9 is shimmed for 16%. This past weekend with my R3 which also comes shimmed for 16% but I added .2 shim and ran 25% and it was very fast, barely made 5 minutes though with a 2604 pipe.

I used the heat cycle method on both my R3 and R3RC and they've been fine.
