So Angelo..If you are seriouse about shopping in AUS...Why dont the importers and you, Drop the margines, and then maybee, i said maybee, people will buy those products...I suppose you work on 110% markup?
I used to manage an art shop with a multi million dollar turnover..So I do know about "mark-ups/ profit margines"

All I can say is "thanks for the internet as its made my hobby sooo much cheaper"

TAZZ44...you must have been lucky..No such luck here in SA...they are all crooks here...
Oh i didnt know i was so expensive meybe i need to check my figures first complaint i ever got .I thought i was the cheapest high end manufacturer in the world well thats what im told by many distributors who sell my products in 61 different countries.

and as for the strange puppy maybe i am if you consider the truth as being strange well so be it .

Default A better thread now

Its good to see this thread move away from the original subject!
Maybe there are some store owners reading whats being posted ,good.
From what i can see is there is alot of different views which is healthy and if there are shop owners and or importers reading this then the balls in there court.
They are now aware of the reasons behind the lack of support from the wider community and they can choose to take it on board or continue the downward spiral.

No, they're aware of a number of malcontents having a cry on an internet forum, that's about it.

Why?
Do they support us?
for example..Why pay $40-50 a set of 1/10 touring rubbers when you can get 2 sets for the same price from Hong Kong..as well as the USA.....
And not to mention Spares?
The only place in Aus who is trying to make a difference is HE international...he relises that internet shopping is BIG..and he prices accordanly....So why not the rest?
I for one will not pay the insurance for the shop owners "flash" sports car?
And..Give the guy a break..He was ripped, And frustrated, why do you guys think he posted his comment..
To all you no-life, computer warriors. and wanna be racers..GO-F$%K your selves... I suppose you all are football supporters as well who thinks Simon Cousins is the "man"...

I agree with you 100% and you know whats sad once the dollar drops and it will drop as America will start raising interest rates and so will many other countries the racer becomes the hobby stores best friend .And how do i know this you say well i communicate with alot of these off shore stores and there sales dropped by as much as 65% when our dollar was at 0.75 to the US .when this happens again which will be soon as Australia cannot sustain the growth or the high currency then you will rush back to the lhs stores in droves for a better deal .

Why cant you manufacture anything in Australia Angelo instead of sending millions each year out of the country?

Yes it is more expensive, but the greed drives you to China where you pay some poor barstard 50 cents an hour.
i have known Angelo for a few years now and he is anything but greedy!! if he was greedy he would be driving an big expensive car and living in a hugh mansion and fly first class everywhere he went but instead he lives in a normal house and drives that beatup little 2 door car and flys economy class. the reason he can sell stuff cheaper than others is because he gets it made cheaper than other in china and there is nothing wrong with that because at the end of the day the larger majority of cash stays in Australia.

i have no invested interest in this as im not sponsored by him at all, all i see is a guy doing his best to make a dollar for himself and his family as well as do the rc hobby in australia better by trying to make it cheaper for us to play with our toy cars.
