i know the diagnosis is a lean top end. But when i richen the top end when it comes off the straight it bogs down so i leaned the low end and closed my idle gap and it took care of it some. I will just have to retune at the track tomorrow.

If i get aggravated i have a newly broken in vspec clutched up to throw in.

The L Mugen Header is nice in truggy. The MBX6-80 header is the one I like on the Mugen vehicles because it tucks the pipe in closer to the motor and fits nicer. The normal C header that comes with the OS 2060 pipes work great as well. I have tried all three and I like the MBX6-80 header and L header the best but the C header is nice too. But what you have should work fine. Man thats an awesome prize to win.

"C" header for buggy and "L" header for truggy.

I am ordering screws for my car and motors. in the vspec manual (can't find my ninja manual), it says the pinch bolt is 2.6 x18. Well if you order from amain you have to buy the whole pinch bolt for the one screw. I don't need pinch bolts. Tony has 2.5 x18 and i measured the pinch bolt with my calipers and i could swear it is reading 2.5 (don't have digital)

Has anyone replaced pinch bolts? WIll the 2.5 work?

Don't go down that road. 2.5 does not = 2.6. I've been down that road before with other stuff and it's no fun.

so i guess i have to buy a 10$ pinch bolt to get a 10 cent screw.

I need three pinch bolts. That is 30$ for three screws.

utterly ridiculous.

I'm sure you can find the correct screws separately somewhere.

What are the base settings on this motor? Just wondering in case I ever need to start back from factory.

Thanks

The factory needle settings. Three turns out from all the way closed on the HSN. .5mm extruded out from the ball link body on the LSN. I just had to retune mine I got way off track from the weather warming up. I'am about 2.5 turns out on the HSN and about 3/4 of a turn in from the stock settings on the LSN.

no way! that bottom setting would be way lean, and top way rich..

this is where i start with OS engines.

IDLE: 1-1/4
HSN: 2-1/4
LSN: 4
MRN: 3-1/4 (flush with chamfer)

by the time im done fine tuning i usually end up with something like this

IDLE: 1-1/8
HSN: 2-1/8
LSN: 3-1/2

p4 plug 2060/ 2042 30% nitro
