Hey Aaron, just wanted to say thanks...took some time on the carb slide and the linkage set up and got it to a minimal angle(a little trim work on the center diff top plate) and she acts like she should now...qualified 2nd...led the main from the 2 min mark to the 15 min mark then lost the big bearing on the clutch....lil' rc demons! Thanks again,Dave.

Cool, I am real curious now because my JL needed to be almost 3 full turns leaner on the bottom to get a good race tune so I think I will shut up with giving tuning advice until I can compare settings. It's definately not close to factory settings on the bottom

I could have pushed to 10 durning the main, but decieded to not chance it and keep it running and keep the buggy in one piece, while everyone flame and broke. Came in at 7-8 mins with no worries.

No problem Off Road God.
I ran my Clockwork modded JL .21 with RB K9 carb/7mm restrictor. JP-3 pipe and O.S. P6 plug with 25% Byrons Pro Blend. I tuned the lowend a little differently this weekend, larger idle gap with richer lowend. All I can say is WOW, engine was insane! Even with Losi's steel flywheel and light clutch setup the front end was bouncing around wanting to come up in the air. I can't imagine how the engine would have been with a aluminum flywheel and heavier springs.
I was happy with the O.S. P6 but I will be trying a P5 when it comes in at the shop this week. The P6 was a little cold, my engine was a little lazy to start up. P5 should be the ticket like Maximo mentioned. I pitted at the 8:45 minute mark. My engine temps were cold (below 200*), I could have leaned the top end more but I didn't feel the need to.
I raced one of my local track's season opener, trophy race. I qualified 4th and finished 3rd on the same lap as the leader, only about 6 secs behind 2nd place. First place was Anthony Mazzara (Team Losi 100% factory sponsored), 2nd place was the "track king". Anthony was on fire, he TQ'd buggy and truggy and won both A mains.
Here is a bad video (camera man is now fired) of the Amain truggy. There are two flourscent yellow truggies, mine has a darker front. Watch the 2:38 mark when I hit the straight the front almost comes off the ground!

My buddy got some video of me driving my Clockwork powered RC8T during practise. The track was muddy so I was limited to where I could drive, but he took some nice angles and great video testing out his new Canon cam.
It's a 5+ minute video, and I'm on it from 4:09 until the end. This engine sounds different than all the others at the track, and it's corner-to corner speed is just awesome:

This engine is something to see.

This little engine that could is making quite a stir around here, I have a guy calling me out with a "full mod" FMS. He thinks he can take me down. The nerve of this guy, calling my budget under $200 engine out with his almost $400 engine. He asked if I wanted to race for "pinks", I told him to keep his engine and just give me his truggy!

I got friday off, going to get some practice time in for once
