Fromm about.com:
Anheuser-Busch announced in December of 2006 that they would be pulling out after the 2007 season. This announcement left the future of the series in doubt as NASCAR was rumored to be struggling to find a new title sponsor.

The Nationwide Series will take some getting used to after so many years of calling it the Busch Series but I am happy to know that the series will be alive and well for years to come. This is good news for NASCAR and its beer drinking fans.

Thank god they have insurance so they can sell beer in the stands!

Now on to Winston cup. Anyone got a light?

Definitely post it here whenever track work is going on. I need community service hours for my fraternity, and I can't think of a better way to get those than helping MARCCA out. Not to mention the added bonus of racing afterwards

And Keith, I've got a light, but you'll have to Sprint here to get it

Well thank goodness Indycar is sponsored by Izod, so at least all the crews and fans will look nice.
And I bet he never set foot in the Milwaukee Mile for the Miller Lite 250

You got that exhaust fan stuck on low?

Only when I need to open the door. Otherwise the draft will rip it off its hinges.

Our meeting went great last week Mike.

The first organized work day for the track is Sunday April 11th.

Main order of things to be done is moving supplies and the trailer from the Rockpile to the new place. We could use trucks and trailers to haul the pipes, and parts of the drivers stand and all we own to our new home.

Brian and I will be trenching in the electric and water. Could use a person or two to assist with this. Will see this Saturday who else has work plans ready for the various jobs.

I know Erik has a preliminary plan on the track layout and Walt has a great start on the plans for the drivers stand, pit lane, and the new control tower.

I will rally the troops this Saturday night and come up with a final plan for our first big work day. Keep looking back here for updates and announcements.

Always something that can be done. Any work done will get us closer to our goal of having a fine new track. I can almost smell the nitro now.

I would bet that most people who post at 20min to 5am are likely just going to bed. Jeff - holy cow you get up early or were you just going to bed?

I get up real early sometimes...like 3-4. When I sleep in I get up at 5. This explains how much better I race during the day than at night. Usually by the third heat I am pretty much ready for bed. Thank god for all the great action in the mains. It's the only thing that keeps me from dozing off.

Went out and checked the trailer today and everything looks good, ready for the move. We were hoping to haul it out to the new place but it wasn't ready. Hopefully you slackers will get everything ready and I can bribe my fat friend with enough food and beer to come out next week and move it then.

p.s. Bob H. never paid me in gum.

Thanks a bunch Jake for getting the trailer ready. We will get it moved Saturday with most of our other stuff from the Rockpile.

Sunday will be a busy day with lots of chores to do.

Trenching and installing water and electrical lines.
Construction of the drivers stand and pit box.
Maybe even starting some of the jumps on the track.

Come join the historic occasion.

Re-think the large jumps next to the pit-lane. It will be dangerous.
