Blake try blue side springs with medium or heavy Losi Hydradrive fluid in the tubes. I assume you're running .020 front springs you may wanna try .022's instead. Also were you running an Ascari body? I've found that the Ascari has a ton of steering in middle/exit situations. The Parma Speed 8 is a bit smoother.

What gearing would everyone recomend for a carpet oval track that has a 158 ft centerline.I will be running a BloodyKnife With 4 cell with a trinity street spec 21 turn motor.The tires are brand new purples and greys.The gears are 64 Pitch.It came with a 86 tooth spur gear so which pinion wuld you recomend starting with and should i change the spur gear too?

I'd ask around your track for what rollout everybody else uses. Most of the better oval guys are probably using dynos to select gearing anyway.

Recheck that spur, it's probably a 96 tooth. As far as gearing for an Oval, I have no clue.

I bet that spur gear is actually 98 teeth, that's what Carpet Knives come spec'd with.

Problem with the Losi Hydradrive fluid is you can't find the stuff ANYWHERE! If anyone has some PM me...I'll take it off your hands.

Protofrom speed 8? There's the Problem. A Proto Nissan or Parma Speed 8 would have been preferrable. Are you running at the Gate Sunday Blake? If so, Pulfer and I will help dial you in.

dr_hfuhuhurr - Mid-corner to exit steering is much more dependent on chassis setup and tires then the body in 12th stock. I really couldn't say what to switch on a link car setup. I'm 99% sure it's not body though.

the condition you describing is not of an aerodynamic situation but rather one of a mechanical nature either the car is diffing and or the car may be to stiff and doesnt have enough side roll!

That may be my problem then...Corally Hard dampner fluid is probably too thick then.

soften the rear up a little and let the car plant its self the tighten it up little at a time till you find your comfort level!

Wouldn't softening up the rear a bit add steering mid and exit? Wouldn't that let more weight shift to the front quicker?
