are most novarossi .21 rods interchangeable? do they share the same dimensions, ie, length, bushing I.D. etc ?
If i have an old novarossi on-road .21, would i be able to put a new rod in it?
I can get dimensions of my old con-rod.. if somebody has measurements of a newer rod so i can compare.. that would help me out a ton.

To be honest, I never knew Novarossi had an optional rubber version for the 353-09, and it is exactly the same price as the metal shielded standard front bearing....

Hi everyone,
I believe engine break-in is quite severe on conrods - so could anyone advise me as to how much running they would recommend a conrod (R7, from a .21 Flash Special Tuned) to do after having being "pre-run" before sale, and then the run-in completed on the track?
Cheers,
Kronos.

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to use the gudgeon-pin
clips with part number 05000 in the Flash .21 Special engines?
- Although the exploded view for the Flash shows that a gudgeon pin clip
with part number 05001 is required.
Thanks,
Kronos.

Kronos, you are correct that the rod is stressed alot on break-in and that is why I bought two Go-Tech rods that are the same size as my 35+21 and Kangaroo motors and use them exclusively for new engine break-ins only. I also use off-road 14mm or 14.5mm cranks in the new engines as well so the new crank-pin on the new crank isn't worn prematurely. After the engine is broken in and no ill pinch, I re-install the unused new rod and new crank back in the motor and off we go. This was the best piece of mind for me since I didn't want to damage my new stuff on the most critical time of a brand new engine.
