I have been using mini deans; however, I did have a wire prob at silverstate a couple weeks ago. But the mini deans works well.

I think it's a broken wire. All I know is it was getting dark and I had the dark body on so it was a little hard to see and windy as hell. So my car started acting funny I crashed and I think I actually started following the wrong car because it pulled into pits and I'm yelling at my pit guy to shut it down and then it pulls out of the pits. (not my car) my car was dead in the middle of the track and when I got it fired back up it was on then off and if you touched the wires that seemed to be the prob. Not sure how it happened but I'm going with it's all that kids fault that stepped on my car the day before. He knows who he is. Hell I don't even know who he is but I saw it happen pulling out of pit lane. So that's gotta be it.

I will try and answer you question. My truck has about 8 gallons or so on it and if I was doing it again I would buy the truck, aluminum servo saver top, rear hubs that take 16mm bearings, adjustable hinge pin braces, and that should just about take care of it. The new kits have updated brakes, and I believe the shock end issue is over with. The truck is a very capable truck of winning races anywhere in the country, and most people that I have seen swap to the Losi have become a lot better and more consistent drivers. The truck is really really fun to drive. I myself am thinking of adding a buggy to the stable to take advantage. Of the rebate

Normally no unless im running the full length of the wire....I twist and tuck a 1/2" or so on the pack itself so that's normally where ill re solder on the new lead when it comes that time.

You got me I did forget about the aluminum servo horn as the stocker is a junker for the steering. And the V2 tower does make a HUGE improvement (not sure how I forgot that since I have run tons better my last 2 races since adding it). I don't personally use the +2 hubs and the wheels rub a tad but not enough to crack or break anything. Got a split center diff mount on the way, couldn't pass on the super deal that I happened upon. Also got some titanium pieces used off fleabay so figured why not, pretty sure a driver of my skill won't tell the difference. I wiuld reccomend the shock mod (drilling the caps) I race against guys that don't have it done and it seems to make a difference-helps that I have somebody at track to build them for me also.

+1 and don't forget a losi aluminum servo horn to fit your servo! Stock plastic horn is JUNK! I also recommend a set of the losi +2mm hex hubs for the front of the truck. Keeps the webbing in the wheels from rubbing. The V2 shock tower is a good upgrade too! The outer shock mounting hole really lets the truck soak up the bumps even more than it does stock. The truck also seems to rotate a bit easier in the corners with it. The split center diff mount is a great upgrade, but not completely necessary. It really is nice though! Well worth the $$. Other than that, just make sure you go through the truck when you get it and give it a good rebuild. The little Chinese girls don't do the best job building them at the factory.

I run carbon shoes... They happen to be in a fioroni turbo sliding clutch system though.
With the losi clutch I always ran 4 KHZ 7075 aluminum shoes with 2 gold and 2 green springs or 4 gold.

Quick question- I have the Losi 454 RTR motor as a practice motor for my 8T 2.0 the motor is awesome and makes killer power but the run time is terrible is there a smaller venturi that i could put in there? does anyone make one that fits it? a 6 6.5 or 7 would be great and i am running a 086 pipe on it. Thanks
