What are you hearing ? Buzzing sound or rattling sound ? Buzzing sound is normal. When you try to twist the servo, or turn the steering, the buzzing sound will be heard. This is normal.
However, cracking or rattling sound is not normal...... one of the gear tooth need to be replace. Usually the first gear at the bottom.
