I can help Sal with this...
He runs the Atomic LCD Styles shafts for the 416. Larry and I have been running them for a while now. They're good stuff with the exception of the darn pins. The stock ones break easy if you catch a wall. We've been getting 1.6mm hardened steel rod and sanding it down to 1.4mm to fit the axle. Once you do that, they're rock solid, but you break other stuff.![Laughing](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/laugh2.gif)
The screws are the stock ones, he just spent the time to polish them. I was shocked when I saw his car the first time. Not too many people are willing to spend that kinda time on screws.

Thx schreff,
the second one question that is important for me: is there any problems with stripped screws on top deck? As i understand it's have 1.5mm hex head? And i think if you tight it hard problems may occur...

Schreff is right with everything he has posted about my car, except in the picture I posted I am now using the new top deck screws and yes I spent another ridiculous amount of time polishing them
.....the new screws are awesome! you can really crank down on them without any issues plus they have a 2mm head.. Just a heads up you need two packages to replace the 1.5 mm screws in whole car or just 1 package to do the top deck.

They are out of stock here, but you can get them here as well.

To add to what schreff said. I would suggest ordering some replacement 10x5x3 bearings from Bocca (Schreff suggested bocca and its the only place I found sheileded ones).
Also I've found this material to work really well.
1.45mm hardened rod - Works well, but still has some slop.

1.5mm hardened rod - You might try this as your lcd's start to wear a bit. The 1.45mm has a bit of slop in it still.

The only problem with this material is its so hard the setscrews don't dig into it. So you gotta make sure you have some good thick heatshrink.. If you don't its not if the pin comes out its when.

All I can admit to legally is that I kept the guys at USORC in a great mood. I can not wait to go back next year. The car handled great just need to set aside more time for practice before the Novak race next year. My goal next year is to improve on my times and run better lines...hey that rhymes![Laughing](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/laugh2.gif)

I had a very good time at the Novak race this past week. I enjoyed running the TOP car, the car drives great and is the best I have driven in a long time. I just wish I could have finished better in the races but I sure had a great time meeting all of the TOP racers. I hope to make it to some more races in the future.
