It is very possible that it will work but honestly you are better off just going for the RB rod that you know the engine was designed to use. If your having trouble finding one I know A-Main hobbies has them in stock.

Well this old S7 has 12 gallons on it and just wanted to find a real good deal on a rod instead of spending 60$ plus shipping on a rod. I found a Nova rod for 30$ he is going to let me try it before i pay for it!! This has been an excellent motor its the new head on it with a Turbo button, ceramic bearings and just got repinched and the bushing on the rod broke into pieces..

Wow 12 gallons, thats amazing! Original crank? If so I would check the crank pin to make sure it is still round and within tolerance.

12 gallons really isn't that unusual for these engines if they are maintained well. I have 3 engines right now that all have over 10 gallons on them and all still run. The most extreme is a WS7II from the 2006 season, it has 2 full race seasons on it, more than 15 gallons and has had no more than a conrod replaced at the 5 gallon mark. The compression is still good enough that when holding the flywheel the engines own weight will not turn the piston past TDC. With that engine I did pre-heat prior to starting it up EVERY time for the first 2 full gallons of fuel.

I too agree i have a ws7 2 with i would say 18-20 gallons the crank is still great by digital calipers. A good pinch and she screams and i still never second guess that motor as far as finishing a weekend race. I wish they were not tawain made now not sure i trust a tawain made engine ? Its all how u take care of ur engine clean it after every race run all fuel out at the end of the day Ect.

I don't think RB's are being made in Taiwan, just the Killer 9/ JLR .21

Only the k9 is made in Tawain.

Yep, just like posted above the K9 is the only engine made in Taiwan. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the carb on any of the other engines, they are clearly Novarossi carbs. If you like how that engine runs the WS9 is basically the same engine but it now has a turbo head button, as well as the MES exhaust design that is on the B9/C6 engines. It has a little more power and gets a little better fuel economy.

Thanks guys to many rumors LOL i well still run rb engines. I heard they where all going to be made there THank god this isnt true because i love my Rb C6 it has the best smooth power to fuel mileage iv had in awhile w/ a 7 mm venturi. I may just get a B9 for a new motor a put the C6 up for backup. Thanks Speedy

01250-9TR8A is the part number for the aluminum 8mm venturi that comes with the K9. The parts list that comes with the K9 has the normal plastic venturis listed as the option venturis that can be used so it seems the only aluminum one they currently have is the one that comes in the K9.

i have a question (i bought a used rb c5, from a racer that i know) and (it still needs to be, broken in its pretty tight.)im gone to (run 20% nitro there was no glow plug in, the cooling head.) so i have some (nova #5 plugs, will they fit the rb head?) is that the, right plug for that? percentage of nitro.

Fellow RB K9 owners keep a eye on your bearings, I think they are really cheaply made. I ran into some problems last weekend with idle issues. I pulled my flywheel off to find the front rubber bearing seal was prying itself out. I dismantled the engine to also find the bearings felt gummed up and did not spin very freely at all, not gritty just not free. I ordered some Boca Bearing MX ceramic that I will be installing as soon as they arrive. My engine has about 4 gallons on it.
