Why is the OFNA Hyper 9e more expensive than the Hot Bodies Ve8?

Averaging about $100 over the Ve8. Why? The Ve8 seems to be as good or possibly better from what I've seen.

If anyone knows the answer, why do Losi, Kyosho, & HPI package their 1/8 buggies with brushless kits people don't seem to want instead of offering rollers?

Which 1/8 buggy is the BEST in your opinion? Why?

I dont like the way the VE8 has the motor on the same side as the battery , you might have a weight bias problem and limited on what size battery you have to use .....

The hyper has Aluminum chassis, crimefighter tires and proline dishes, new cd placement and large battery compartement. The only thing missing is a good body.

What you guys should be asking yourselfs is why your not looking at a Caster.

Because its better than both those chassis. And they are on Sale for $199 for X Mas

There is no weight bais problem with the ve8 I thought that was finished being talked about, yeah the battery tray is a bit limited but you still have alot of good choices. The Caster car is a good car to not nocking any of them just letting everyone know my expierence.

I think it's because the hyper has a following from years past and this is the buggy that they would consider their best effort! The ve8 is brand new and the design Is new, I think the ve8 is awesome and hot bodies is trying to flood the market at a low price point, that's what it takes these days.
If I see a $300 roller buggy out doing my $600 roller what would I do?
I saw two ve8's for the first time a few weeks ago on my home track and I was very impressed, I'm considering getting one myself you should too!

With the exception of the HB I have driven almost every different EP out there. The design on this buggy blows all the other ones away. It was designed this way and not converted. The driveline it perfectly strait. The Center Diff has not been flipped around. The only weight difference right to left is the difference between you motor and the RX,servo tray assembly.

The side by side battery config give you almost limitless batty options as well

And this chassis turns on a dime and gives you 9 cents change back....

That Caster looks to be very solid , I have seen it run in person and it was very stable looking on the track . Very hard too beat its price point also .

This is all my opinion on what I have seen , I own an RC8e (converting too a SC10 4x4) an Ofna Ravager , and my son has an RC Monster converted Xray 808 , the 808 is a sick buggy also but its pretty expensive .

Looks like a nice buggy for the $ If you don't already own 4s-5s or 6s packs. And it suffers from the same problem the Ve8 has with the pinion too close to the battery, and motor selection restricted by space. Just my .02 worth

I have never had a problem with the pinion on mine. But your right a Castle 2200 motor is NOT fitting in here.

But its also not needed. I run a 1900 Tekin and its ballistic just how it is. I can think of one track I have gone to that it needed now power. Ill I had to do was run 5S and it was perfect.

one 2S and one 3S lipo in series.
