Kyle-Great job. I was concidering next weekend doing the rce race on Sunday and possibly going up on Saturday for practice. I think I have convinced Jenn to take Dylan to NH for the weekend. I figured Sat. would allow good practice and set up and there will be enough time Sat. night to rebuild if needed. I may even look for a Marriott property up there somewhere. Free, that is all I have to say. I will be down Tuesday, but I will talk to you tomorrow about the 8E and the RB5. I may also call you when D is in bed.

Congrats Ron.....

Now, are you a Conservative Regional Director or a Liberal Regional Director, how's your health care reform for injured marshalls?? how long before the war in 4wd is stopped?? will we have social security benefits when we retire from racing??

A lot of responsibilities you now have.....

I do have a couple of quams with the goings-on though.
1) Get the friggin kids off the damn bucket! I ate that downhill gulley twice in a row while some little dude has his finger up his nose standing by the bucket. Luckily that was during a qualifier so there was no punishment dealt.
2) 5 minute quals and 6 mintue mains are for minis.
Could we really have saved that much time cutting the racing times down? I, personally, feel I do better in an 8 minute race rather then 6 and was disappointed to see the race times after the first few heats.

If we had actually started at noon, things would've gotten done at the same time as they did, even with longer race times.

3) John B needs an AMP/Jlap PC lesson from Mark......
1. Racers have complained about some of the adults that corner marshall too. Basically, in a no win situation like corner marshalls, where nobody is happy, your best chance is to not use them.

2. 5 minute quals, 7 minute A-Mains, 6 Minute B-mains, and 5 Minute C-mains. We ran 3 qualifing rounds of 15 heats, and I think 14 mains in 9 hours. John did each qualifing round in 2 hours like clockwork, the mains took an extra hour for track prep and raffle and longer A-mains. John did an exceptional race program and should be commended for it.

Actually, the race program started at 12:03, 3 minutes late if you really want to be picky.

last minute race entries prevented us from starting the race program early. Trust me I will never try to start the race program early again.

3. Once again, John did an exceptional job with the race program. I would be happy to entertain watching anybody else try to use the RC Scoring Pro software, its not as easy as it looks.

I hear ya Mark. John, you, Will and Hilde all did a great job. I was just bustin his chops about the computer thing. Every time he has a computer problem all I hear is ......"Mark Westerfield?! Where's Mark".......lol.
I also understand how extending the heat times would've kept us there a bit later........I woulda stayed til midnight.
I know some marshalls are slow, but at least they're racing. If there's a kid on the bucket round after round because he thinks it's fun and not because he had just previously raced......it ain't right. There were more than enough people there for proper marshalls. I tried to get the two of em to move after every one of my rounds, but they won't listen to me and I'm not gonna discipline someone else's kid.

Just my 2 cents Marko. No need to get all worked up yo. I'm a lowal RCHR guy now, no need to worry about me defecting for carpet
Ya'll must be doing something right if we get that many guys for a normal trophy race.

Hey Mark,
John did a great job, that's the way it should be from now on when we have trophy races... Keep it moving, make sure marshals are out, and track is being swept.

I thought the program ran great, really smooth and fast the whole day.

Well done to Mark, Jon and rest of the crew! The turnout was huge, but the program went quickly, I didn't hear anyone complain about the program in the pits.

See you guys at the next one.
