One of the really fast drivers i run with told me a shorter manifold will wake it up. Is this engine lazy on the top? I understand it's a stump puller but that might not be to my advantage on the slippery tracks we run on. I'm also thinking of having EB mods bore the crank and fill with silicone. Any other changes to consider?
The 2045 pipe and 198 header will give you more bottom than you can handle, with the 192 header is the best combo with most all the RB engines, I have ran RB engines for over 10 years now, tried every pipe on the market, still have not found any better than RB pipe combo, thats what those pipes are made for, the RB engines. I don't believe there is a racer than can compare to factory testing drivers R&D.

What are the main differences of the 2045 and 3001 RB pipes????

Has anyone else apart from "supralative" seen or used the RB Rally 9 engine???

It's priced close to Junior engine but the specs are way higher:
5+2 ports
3 exhaust ports (MES system)
14mm Bi-turbo crankshaft

Not even the S9 has these specs it looks more like a B9.

RB may be up in the price range but the quality and performance can not be beat.
I'm with you on that I have a WS7lll and it friggin' just ripps easy to tune, sounds awesome and likes being in my 8ight Bugg.

Killer 9 is a great engine for the price! I have almost 2 gallons on mine including the break-in (gallon). Engine is still super tight that you struggle to turn the flywheel over when mounted in my truggy.

My setup is:
7mm insert
2045/192mm pipe/header
Byron %25 Pro

(ditch the 8mm insert it comes with for a 7mm, BIG difference in runtime!!)

Last week I was able to get almost 10 mins on a pit.
I ran a 20 min. Main on one stop and ran out of gas after I crossed the finish line for my last lap. Luckily I had a nice lead on third to hang on to my 2nd place finish. The engine was cold, I don't know what the actual temp was but I would guess about 190'.

I will definately buy another one when this one dies.

Thanks for the info, just ordered mine from amain on saturday, should have it by tomorrow, I already am running the WS7 III in my truggy, and a C6 in my buggy, with the throttle set at 75% pull, it's still new, not even a gallon on it, first time with the C6, nice and smooth power, running 192 header with the 2045 pipe on both engines. My old WS7 I finally decided to stop running, 6 years old, 10 gallons of fuel, original P&S, different rod and bearings, I think I got my moneys worth. How does the power range on the killer 9 compare to the C6 and the WS7 III? any idea?
