How are you guys getting the slop out of the rear wheels ? I've shimmed the backside with diff shims. They seem good, then after one run there loose again. I have the modded J-dub plastic rear hub carriers.

Is there a fix for this, or is this just what all truggy's do since the tires are so big ? Should I be shimming them differently ?

Trace the Slop back to where its coming from....are you Positive its not a ball end on the tower or knuckle....are you sure its not the knuckle itself slopped out on the 3.5mm hinge pin ? the alum balls have a tendency to slop out if you get your truck real dirty and don't clean it properly....If it's the Axle itself....you want a hair of slop...like .1-.2mm and no more....just enough to feel a "tick" of play in the axle to the wheel hex.....MAKE sure to check it with the Grub Screw Tight as that Will take up some of the slop.

I think a lot of the slop is coming from the wheel hexes, so I swapped mine with a set of xray 808 hexes that I got off ebay for $15-huge improvement, no shimming and ir still has slop just not quite as much

Another local racer put the hexes off hos 1.0 buggy on his 2.0 truck and also liked the rrsults-it doesn't make the truck twitchy like shimming can if it gets too tight

I put a little piece of electrical tape on the axle and it took out 80% of my slop in the rear wheels. The axles kind of "float" in the bearings which is what is causing the slop.

Default I am new to the truggy racing

Tell me something guys? I just got a used 1.0 truggy, my first truggy ever. I was on eBay and found 3 sets of truggy half offset rims new for 51.56 shipped , will they fit the truggy, or not. And another question is does anyone on here have a good chassis for the 1.0 truggy I can buy from them, or tell me where to find a chassis like a flex tune? Thanks guys

The half off set rims will work just fine, it comes with half off sets out of the box. For a chassis you can try ebay. They are not cheap.

If you are going to drop that kinda cash on a new chassis then get a 2.0 chassis from bce and a new rear center drive shaft. You will be verry happy.

I used some thin sheets of CF for mine but originally made them from the Parma Thick lexan.....you can also make them cover a lot more then what the 1.0's did.
