Matt ran truck and sct today. I know he got 3rd in truck not sure about sct. I got 2nd in truck and Lopez from excitement won. I believe Freddy won 4wd (since Mark doesn't count).

I took third in SCT to John B. and Ron S.

Great racing today. That first qualifier was a little interesting.....slick is an understatement.

Hey guys,

Awesome racing tonight, the truck class today looked wicked fun, hopefully I have my T4 ready for next week. We had an Allstar Truck race today, The Schenck Brothers, Steve "I got a life" Semeraro, Jay Kennedy, Matt M., John Benedict...

I do Apologize for loosing my cool there in 4wd, it's very uncharacteristic of me, I know, it won't happen again, everyone did a great job, Rich "15.9" Febus and Will kept me on my toes the whole night while I was trying to chase Mark down....

Kyle is getting ready to unleash "The Beast", Matt M. is getting into the 4wd mix really soon.

Steve S.
Make sure you clear your calendar for Nov. 14th, we're racing that day...

I read this in another thread, apparently people in other parts of the country have different priorities. In CT, its not R/C.

"I run at Washtenaw R/c raceway in the winter.We pull between 150-250 entries per race day during the winter.Usually 20-30 heats per round of qualifying, with 3 qualls and a main for the program.With that many entries the classes we are running this winter are;
1/10 17.5 buggy
1/10 17.5 truck
1/10 mod truck
slash spec
ROAR sct
OPEN SCT
OPEN Mini (1/18-1/16)
OPEN 4wd buggy
1/8 e-buggy
1/8 e-truggy
e- Monster class (revo,e-maxx etc.).
Novice"

I love how quickly our Saturdays go, but I would love it a lot more if we had double the people, a few B-mains.......somewhere for Chandler to hide other then on top of my truck.

Yeah saturday was nice. One more round then I usually get(really liked the extra track time), nice shiny medal and still out at 5pm. I also made my first 20 lap qualifiers in 2wd so all together a pretty good day.

Dont think I would like a race with 150+ people for a club race, but enough to make A and B mains would be nice.

back in the early 90's we used to race at Queens Offroader's, and used to take around 150 entrants on every Sunday. Racing started at 10 am, and ended around 12-1am. 80-100 stock 2wd buggies 40 or so 4wd, and the rest for stadium trucks 10t's and such. Racing was very close and very competitive. I only see a couple of racers still doing the racing thing still, from those times. The owner of that track now does onroad racing (John Lee).

I still enjoy RC racing after 25 years, and Im still competitive, and now even my kids are enjoyinig some of the beginnings like I have. RCHR has brought that to them. Thanks to RCHR.

Unfortunatley, I think the "CARE" of competition is gone, and most people are there to have a good time. Most people dont race on a weekly budget, most cant, either it being finances, or physical conditions outside of our control. I would be there every race day, but there are other priorities in my life that are greater than RC racing. I look foward to every race day I get the opportunity to atend, and give it my all when I am there. We ALL wish we could be there every race day, as we all know it is a addiction more than a hobby.

What do we do to make attendance rise? Be courteous to other's, in the pits, and on the track(?), be helpfull, be kind, and always show good sportsmanship. When I attended LIR a few weeks ago, everyone bragged how the traction is crazy at RCHR, and I agree. They love the layouts, and the people, but dont travel on a bi-weekly basis?? But nor do the attendants of RCHR. Is it money? Time? Family? I know it is not race schedule LIR races fri nights, and sundays. RCHR races wednesday, and Saturdays. Maybe we can may a track shoutout between the two clubs for a month to drum it up for both locations. Something like the "NESS" races. There are only so many racers in this region, and everyone is so comfortable on staying at their home track. I think that should change.
