hopefully someone can help me
just got an original cyclone(black edition) and i've been trying to get a rubber tire setup on the car. all the sheets i've found are showing 1.5mm under the hinge pin holders,in the front, the arm spacing is 2.3mm rear, .5mm front, and ackerman is 4mm. when i put this setup on the car, the steering tierods jam against the rear hinge pin block(they actually rub slightly with no spacing under the hinge pin block)
how do you get this setup to work or am i misunderstanding it ?
any help would be greatly appreciated

yup, just dremel off the edge of the block under both steering tierods.

just curious...is that 1.5 mm spacing under the hinge pin blocks the ticket for running rubber on carpet ?
running 17.5 brushless/5K lipo (already modded the bulkhead to fit the lipo)
just wondering if i need that much roll center height or not

it's not the 'ticket' but it is part of the over all set-up.
from a couple of pages back:
The suspension blocks do change roll center and camber change characteristics much like the camber link shims do... but the shims under the suspension blocks have a much greater effect on roll center than it does on the camber change characteristics. More shims under the suspension blocks raises the roll center. This gives more initial grip, less roll, but less overall grip in the middle and exit of the corner. Think of it as if the car feels... stiffer. Fewer shims will lower the roll center. The result is a car that rolls more and has more overall grip in the middle and exit of the corner. It does smooth out the car entering the corner though.

what circumstance would i use 1mm or zero spacers under the suspension blocks ?

Could you tell me how you measure the droop please, you mention 1.5 ORH what does this term mean please.

You can also get that effect on just one end of the car. You'll notice that some setups call for a combination of 1.5/1.0mm front/rear or rear/front which changes the balance of the car significantly.
