running oddonel 97t turbo on grp button. jp4 pipe and sidewinder 30. at 3/4 gallon in a 30 min main i had to open the idle up 3/4 turn and top needle 1 hour. took a few minutes and lost 10 laps but ever since its ran good. yesterday i was getting exactly 8 minutes a tank in 65-70 degree ambient temp. im actually thinking about a little sleeve work on it to get over 9 minutes right now. it was temped on almost empty tank yesterday and was 236 degrees on a duratraxx(pretty sure was duratraxx, little handheld gun) temp gun. seems to lack just a pinch on top end so might high speed tune 1 more time. either way il run this engine through the winter. very impressive for $125shipped.

id try all of them and let us know. engines too new for many to know what pipes work yet. i got my 086 on my jpx right now so i havnt tried it.

air8...my clutch is old losi flywheel with 2 new maxlifes and 2 new composites. im running 5 different losi clutch setups right now but yesterday ran vp pro .9 spring and 1.0 spring on smooth dusty grooven track. was running 2 green and 2 gold springs last week but had just a little wheelspin running m2 crimes fr and red eclipse rr. these vp springs holds it perfect with perfect engagement and no wheespin at stateline. my fast lap yesterday was 40 sec. and fastest of day was 36.

We are getting 8 minutes out of these motors box stock. You think that JP4 might be a problem? I would try a losi re10, or 053 pipe. I have tried a Jp4 on other motors and it killed the mileage.

jp4 has always worked well with other sh engines iv ran. jp3 killed them down to 6 or less. im happy with 8 but will re tune for more soon. if not il cut on the sleeve a little and get 9.

Just an update on this engine. I've got about two gallons or so of runtime on it now and it's fully broken in. I raced it this weekend and finished second in the Sportsman class at my local track. Once again, the engine kept up with everything on the track, the only thing holding me back is my driving.

I tried a JP-4 that I got for cheap, I had to richen the engine up so I lost over a minute of runtime. It ran OK but I'm sticking the Dynamite 053 pipe back on it. I just ordered a Losi RE11 pipe, I'll let ya'll know how it compares to the 053 when I get a chance to test them back to back.

Last thing, I changed the rod out after I got home from the races the other day. I didn't want to do it before I raced, I was afraid if I screwed it up it would cost me a DNF. Anyway, the compression feels great now. There's no metal pinch left. but there is a very nice "thump" of compression when you turn the engine over by hand. So I'm looking forward to this engine running a long time for me now.

I found one with half a gallon on it that i can get real cheap if you know what i mean. I'm just curious whether the GRP turbo button will fit on it. Since it fits on the losi 350 which is somewhat similar.

im using the grp turbo button. its a tight fit. it needed pushed into the cooling head then when was bolted down it leveled out nice under there. im figuring once this engines toast it will take some work to get back out of the cooling head but its good for now. this engine with price gives a guy a break from spending for a while

Thumbs up

JUST some FYI............. the turbo plug button conversion http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSR2345 for the losi 350 3-port rtr buggy motor is a direct fit on these motors(mine came w/2 plugs ............ I just did mine, the deck height was .011 w/o any shims, I put 1 thin shim and got it to .015 and will try it this weekend, I'm running 20% fuel thats why the low deck hieght, if I was running 30% It should be somewhere in the low .020's. B TW I tried a dynamite 086 pipe a couple weeks go and it was ok just not very "good", dead on the bottom and kinda frustrating which is to be expected since its a top end pipe........ I'm going back to the 053 I also ran one of my old worn out v-specs/2060/nasty tune again for the hell of it the other day for a back to back comparo just to "know"........ All I can say is man it sure is nice to have some HP LOL BIG Difference................The dynamite is staying as a club racre though

I love my mach .21. It has tons of power and holds a tune very well. I would highly recommend it.
