I personally would look at a .21 size engine. Any decent one should have more than enough power. Is the new reedy motor out yet?

Because a good .21 is ported and tuned. The stock motor is not ported. My works .21 walks away from my brothers .28 and gets 11 1/4 minutes on a tank and the .28 gets only about 9 in our SC8's

I use th eofna ablue box. it works great with an 11.1v lipo and will turn over a v8 on 4s

I agree that a .21 is best suited for the truck.

Backtardbasher, .28 typycally rev up around 30,000 RPM. .21 motors can wind up to around 44,000. The .28 makes gobs of torque but can be geared up to 4-5 teeth over stock and get crazy speed though, something a .21 cant do but will suck up fuel like its free.

Default port & polish

having my buddy port & polish my stock .28, he does great work can't wait to see what kind of power it makes. really just hoping to get better run times out of it. running cooler will be a bonus too. i'll let you guys know how it runs when i get it back in. and yes i will post some pics when i get a chance.

Anyone try proline Moab buggy tires. They look scale and have similar traction as the sc8 tires with a little more sidebite. Our club allows these as an alternative to the stockers. These are the only others you can run.Mine are on panther buggy wheels.Try it you'll like it.

I went over mine when I got it and just gave everything about a 1/4 turn just to snug it up a little better but I didn't find anything loose at all. It really seemed to be put together pretty well. One thing I didn't like was all the decals weren't on very well but those have been thrashed on pretty heavily now. Ditch the remote glow starter and drill a hole and get a long glow plug igniter. Hanger 9 makes one which I think is the same as the dynamite ones just longer. Then all you have to do is go tear it up. Oh yeah I seem to keep breaking the front bumper mounts and the actual bumper itself. So just don't lawn dart the thing and you won't have to worry about that one. No other breakage though.
