603FF has dual - internal/external antennas, it detects whether HRS or PPM is active from tx and adjusts accordingly and has a fail safe for low rx voltage.
603FF has only the external antenna. Looks like its only available in 3 channels.

FS is dual antenna
FF is single antenna
FS switches automatically between PPM and HRS when detected.
There is no built in F/S for either receiver. You're still dependent on setting the F/S settings in your TX which the RX defaults to if it loses signal. If you run low on voltage or lose battery there is nothing to power the RX to maintain the F/S.
