8T 2.0

RIDE HEIGHT-it is the single most inportant setting on a losi truck-imo. I have personally helped a guy this past weekend with a E8T 2.0, I was asking him questions about his losi truck and how he liked the e-part. He said his ae truck turned a lot better-so I helped him set the ride height and loaned him a set of soft gators-another satisfied losi customer, said it was much better-even better than the ae.
invest in the losi ride height gauge and a good flat surface to check it on. When I test drove a buds losi for the first time-it felt twitchy checked and ride height was offaiadjusted and bam truck was dialed. So I bought one

. I will be back down there......really appreciate the help and I ordered the Gators and the AKA's....hehe

I just got mine from AMain 2 weeks ago and yes, I needed longer screws for front and rear camber links and I went ahead and added longer screws for wing mount. As far as the shock ends....mine appear to be fine, I unhooked them from the a arms and gave them each a good inspection and a good tug or two with pliers and they didn't budge so I ASSume they are good to go
Only issues I had was leaky diff and a broken rear dog bone.
Only issues I had was leaky diff and a broken rear dog bone.Hey guys are we still having to replace the rear camber link screws with longer ones and also having to put new shock ends on out of the box? I had to do that to my first one and now I'm fixing to grab another new one and just wanted to know if I needed to order those parts with the kit or not.
Thanks
Thanks

Checked my shock ends and the front ones were fine but the rears were both stripped. My cousins had one front and one rear stripped. So definitely unscrew them, or at least keep some extra shock ends handy just in case.

Ok thanks guys. It seems like losi still hasn't fixed those issues then. I'll just go ahead and order the new parts and replace that stuff before it hits the ground. On my first one I hadn't made 10 laps on the track and I had a shock end on the front pull out. It ended up tossing my spring and retainer across the track and took forever to find. I definitely don't want to deal with that headache again...........

OTAY! I did order a spare set when I got the truggy, guess I'd better take them off and replace them.
On another note: I notice it is hard to find the stock body lately. Horizon is out of stock and so is Amain and I think CarolinasRC. I ordered the Proline body and the J Concepts.

Actually that was me. Looks like the truck was set up way wrong. Once you helped me dial it in, I fought it alot less on the track. Was running 2nd in the Main until the solder on the Mamba controller came off

What's up jose, really glad to meet you finally, been hearing a lot about your e-fleet. Glad I could help out, just wish I hadn't leaned that pinched motor out a couple extra hours, then maybe I could have been up there in contention at the end. Definately gonna make a trip to cullman-and I absolutely want to drive that e-losi, maybe even run a few heat races against some of the other electrics up there. After I fattened the lsn 2 hours it was on then, my truck was flying turned a 33.0-i was the only truck in the 33's and I had 11 laps in the 33's. Anyway hoiping I can drive like that at the rcpro this weekend-really want some hardware with the new truck!!!

. I was in the 33's. 33.7 was I think the quickest lap, then backed off since I had no idea how long the packs would last. After the 15 min mark I tried to just run cruise control and ran 34.0's-34.5's since I had some breathing room between myself and 3rd. Then the mamba solder took a dump with I think around 9mins left to go...argghh. Dan at Cullman told me to use the Novak solder so went and got that...hopefully that will cure the problem. I can definitely see your truck turned much harder and held the line much better then mine even with the Gators on it. Those I beams were the winning ticket this past weekend. You were making up alot of time under braking. Those Ibeams really hooked up good and didn't let the rear get out of shape. The Gators were awesome though, and 10X better then the XTT's I was running on half offset wheels. I can see now standard offset was the way to go.

lol....it has worked on another track. But this race was my first race ever on another track...lol. I just started racing this year, so have no comparison to what works and doesn't other then what works on my local track this year. This was my first taste of a clay style track with some technical parts to it. Apparently 1/2 offset didn't like it...hehe

My dogbone was broken brand new in the box....never even ran the truggy! Parts from Horizon showed up yesterday and I replaced it. I will replace all the shock ends before I raun the truggy.

The fluids in my diffs have been deteriorating really quick.
I have to change them every race meet, and at a national the other week had to change them before the finals.
Pulled my diffs apart yesterday and fluids had gone black after only doing them last week and when I went to reassemble, I noticed the bevel gears had a little resistance on the shafts, so pulled them off, and there is a definate wear groove on the shafts where the bevels sit.
The metal particles coming off the shafts must be what is deteriorating the fluids faster than what it should.
Anybody else had a similar issue or noticed wear on their bevel shafts?
I'm sure someone will come on a just say it's a consumable item and get used to it
3 meetings was the norm for my 1.0, not just 1
