Pimp, Take your shock mount screw and use a small grinding bit to make a half moon ")" shape in the screw head, now get a real short button head and screw it into the hole next to your mounting screw and align your mounting screw so the head of the short one locks into the head of the mounting screw that you ground so it doesn't spin.
Be sure the small button head you use is not too long that it sticks through the arm and can rub the shock end.
I will try to get a few pics up later today of how I did Derek's if my camera will work.

I have a little off the wall vent to make and want a little elaboration about it. The RC pro series rules stat that no traction control sensing divices can be used. My local track observes these rules and are claming that the Losi SmartDiff is a traction control device. I know what a traction control device is and I know how the SmartDiff operates. Their is no comparison between the two of them but yet the Charter members are taking a vote as to accecpt them or not. Has anyone run into this type of situation ?

If they want to go that far then they can't allow slipper clutches on 10th scales, any 8th scale clutches, any 8th scale diffs and a number other other things could be considered a traction control device by those standards.
Let me guess, none of the ones that want to ban the Smart Diffs run a Losi.
This also seems like it may really hurt club racing at that track.
Besides, RC Pro allows Smart Diffs.
I think that the RC Pro Series rule is intended to keep any computer controlled sensing devices out. Last I checked none of our Smart Diffs have any wires running out of them to an on board computer. LOL

I am just going by my experience with them. So far so good. It shouldn't matter how stiff the spring is because you can adjust it. I can understand them wanting to release a new spring that they can set how they have been and still get a servo saver. If everyone who had bought an 8ight 2.0 or 8T 2.0 had gone through and checked the saver, I highly doubt we would be hearing about any problems. My 2.0 savers and springs have just as much "save" as my 1.0's did. To me that means there is nothing wrong with the existing spring/saver. It is all in how you set it. Like I said earlier there was a bad run of the lower plastics that contributed to the problem. The actual spring cups in the lower plastics were being molded too small, which caused the spring to be forced in. This put a lot of stress on the lower piece and they just blew apart. That is my take on the matter.

I had my Buggy 2.0 saver Set to "save" the servo and the top plastic failed....so IMO the spring is too tight.

CaseyP they Sure Are.
Boeing grade CF is Like NO OTHER.

IF i had my camera i would have pics of them mounted and ready to rock....all i had to do was cut off the rear 3-4mm and elongate the holes to fit the 1.0 chassis with these tower's.

I don't know about the top plastics. I have been running the aluminum ones since day 1.

Well I got my car all sorted, got it setup on the setup board last night and have run in the V-spec. All set for the first round of the Truggy Nats, I know I left it a little late, but a baptism of fire it will be, first outing will be in the 10 minute practise session on Sunday morning.

This is what she ended up looking like.
