With a thick center diff you should have a lot of power out the rear which will make it swap ends easier on power....

I am going to set mine up per a good known RC8 setup and see how that works...5 5 5 all the way. I'll post how it works..
thanks for the explination brisco that helps

Default Gear Mesh

Anyone notice that the clutch bell and spur gear barely touch? Anyone come up with a solution? I tried taking a little metal out of the chassis so I could have more adjustability. It was not enough though and didn't want to get to crazy with the drill and dremel.

Hadn't noticed with mine, but other people who have say they are just going up a tooth on the bell...mellows the truck out a little and gives a bit more top end.

I had bought the Big bore shock kit front 28mm rear 38mm. Im wondering what sring rate, piston size, spacers, and oil weight peopl are going with. Also, what would I have to change to be able to put on the 32mm truggy shocks up front? I would greatly appreicate it if someone could help me out... THANKS

I'll add to the thread just to keep in on the front page.
I've been bashing the crap out of mine for the 3 weeks that I've owned it. I can't count how many times I've cartwheeled, rolled, and flipped it. It is really tough. Here's some pics.

Yeah, 1/10 are tiny. In fact, my SC8 was dwarfed the other day by a Baja 5T. Man, I like those trucks too. That guy didn't have to gas up once in at least 20 minutes. And the engine never died. They seem like very reliable trucks. It may be next on my list. Anyone wanna buy a kidney?

I just need to figure out HOW to do the different setups, like diff, brake bias, etc. And whether I should get big bore shocks, a different pipe, more aggressive tires.....
