Default Some input

Hey all. First of, you can't compare the standard e-revo to the savage. The Savage Flux is brushless, with is serious speed control and motor. If you want to compare it fairly, compare it to the E-Revo Brushless Edition.

I own the E-Revo Brushless and have used both. At this level, it is really a choice of what you are going to use it for. If you want to race, go with the E-Revo brushless. If you want just a all-around tough truck for not serious racing and fun, you could buy either. A buddy of mine owns the Savage Flux, and on a track, it will be VERY difficult to beat the Revo. It is designed for one thing...racing. However, the Savage is built very well. Like most monster trucks, it has a TON of power but is top heavy and rolls very easy.

Truthfully, unless you are a serious racer, either one will blow you away. They are both great R/C's.

Just my two Cents.

I run the e-savage original and I run it at the local offroad track it's all original parts etc and I havent broken a thing yet. It flies around the track, handles corners very well and can certainly make the jumps with ease. You can pick em up cheap second hand.

Talking e-revo vs savy in a nutshell. kinda...

think this.
the savy is a brick with wheels. it can take a bashing. however, the savy is also harder to jump and handle. you will be bashing it (and youself) pretty hard.

The e-revo is lighter by about 2-3 lbs. it has greater balance and i love the suspension. however, it is more of a work of fine china than Savy. that's more of a mug.

think of it like this. An e-revo is a work of art. it jumps like magic, durable enough for racing, and the suspension is great. The savy is like a jeep. it handles horribly, heavy, slow, but it can take a beating.

read reviews of the e maxx. its not brushless, but man does that thing haul some serious ass. the guy at my local hobby shop put a 2 pound lead weight in the front, even with that, it went 55 mph and still did wheelies. and for bashing, forget about it. in my opinion, no other truck with come close, e maxx is the way to go.

Default no to the e-maxx

I just sold two t-maxx's and an e-maxx as i was in NO way impressed with either one they broke all the time. when i say "bash" i mean i do some pretty cruel things to my RC's so i need the strongest made. I LOVE to jump over houses So i am pretty set on the flux at this point. Goofy fast and can take hard hits. That sounds like what I like to run
