The grinding noise has been a probblem in some trucks. To remedy that take the thin shim from the outside axle cup and move it to the inside of the diff on top of the large shim and then put in the pin and sungear. This has seemed to help the trucks with that problem.

Finished mine tonight, just need to paint the body and wait for my electronics to arrive. So far, super smooth build, no issues, no missing parts, and my diff is smooth like butta.

Now I just need to pull the trigger on a color, only have about 20 that I'm trying to choose from.

We found that you need to add an additional shim behind the moon gear to run tighter gear mesh and will eliminate the grinding.

wow, things starting to heat up on this thread...

They are working great for us here in PDX when the track is wet, when it dries we are struggling to hook up.

Had the diff click, added extra shims - so far, so good. 3 race nights and a whole lot of practice packs. Only thing I've broken was a body mount.

Sure traction is an issue at times, but I'm confident this is just weight and tires...if the track is wet/sticky, slashes don't stand a chance!

Looking for more reports from guys running stock slash tires, one report I read was favorable, anyone else!

Have fun guys and lighten up!

(Those w/ QC issues, AE will take care of you I'm sure, just email them!)
