The Speed Passion Thread

[QUOTE=Shawn Palmer;5678929]Hi Russ:
Start with 98/34 and the timing advance maxxed out.
If you didn't run the timing maxxed in your 1.1, then take away another tooth per advance setting you are going up.
Keep your eye on motor temps every minute or so for the first few runs. If you follow the above, you'll be within a few teeth either way. (too hot - lose another tooth or two, or not quite fast enough add a tooth or two
shawn, max the motors timing or the speedo's setttings on the timing

Hey Guys, i am going to buy a SpeedPassion 2.0. Motor. I was going to get a 4.0. My question is do all of the motors have an inbuilt fan or are there some without? I have been told to get the one without the fan.
Also are the normal ones the same as the special edition motors. Eg the Mark R, Jilles edition etc.
If there are ones without the fan could i posssibly get a Pn?
Thanks

I just ordered my 2.0 esc today, I am going to be running mod. What FDR should I be looking at for a 4.5 motor, it is an Orion vortex. Also what base setting should I start with. I am upgrading from a GTB. - Medium to large track
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes some of the champ edition don't have fans. I know the Reinhard one dosen't have a fan, and the Jillies one does. They go harder in every way without the fan but also have more wheelspin. I like a cut down fan best. The full fan is great for low grip as it tones down the spool up for better control.

Thanks For your help

ok i looked at a few places and only found rcmodel having the special edition motors. There all out of stock. Does anyone else know any other place that has the motors, or any other 4.0 motor without the fan?
Thanks

WOW that is low.
I run max timing even for mod but mayb I should try lower. I usually start at 22mm for a 4.5t motor.

It's no big revelation that "some" of our products come from the Hobbywing factory, but what happens to our products as opposed to the stuff you see on that website is quite a bit different.

I dont like high timing with the 2.0 while running mod, it is just tooo much.
