Questions?? Temp. Gun

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a new temp. gun? Would like a good one but didn't want to spend more then I needed to. Maybe somone has an idia of a good site to pick it up from as well. Thanks

I have 2 - Raytec and a Dtx Flashpoint. The ffashpoint was less than 1/2 the raytech and does a good job as long as the surface isn't too shiny - it pretty much matches the Raytec's readings. I ck temp on a lot more than just glowplugs and the Raytec is less bothered by surface finish. If you're just doing plugs, Flashpoint is not a bad choice.

You can't always tune by smoke. Castor oil produces a lot of smoke and the amount of castor in the different fuels varies. Some fuels don't have any castor at all.
