Temp. Gun

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a new temp. gun? Would like a good one but didn't want to spend more then I needed to. Maybe somone has an idia of a good site to pick it up from as well. Thanks:tire::flaming:

I have 2 - Raytec and a Dtx Flashpoint. The ffashpoint was less than 1/2 the raytech and does a good job as long as the surface isn't too shiny - it pretty much matches the Raytec's readings. I ck temp on a lot more than just glowplugs and the Raytec is less bothered by surface finish. If you're just doing plugs, Flashpoint is not a bad choice.

my flashpoint was 20 degrees off--verrified by exergen gun.
raytek was 1 degree off

you should not tune by temp anyways, the smoke and sound never lie

You can't always tune by smoke. Castor oil produces a lot of smoke and the amount of castor in the different fuels varies. Some fuels don't have any castor at all.

Flashpoint is sensitive to surface finish......it shot OK plug temps for me.
