I am pretty sure they are the same but can anyone confirm if the carb inserts are the same on the non tuned grp as the ones used on the older mr.ninja bo1a's?

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting a non tuned to run in buggy this year, has anyone run a losi RE11 pipe on a non tuned? Just curious how it would work, I don't really want to buy a new pipe. What carb insert do they come with?

I have not ran the Losi pipe. Im running the JP3 and iut seems to be ok, but might try the Dynomite 053 to see if I get a little more fuel mileage.

My Non-tuned came with a 7.0 insert.

I'm running the 6mm in a tuned 28 with the GRP 2053, a light clutch and 16/50 gearing. The engine is not wild at all. Plenty of snap without being to punchy. On a slick track I may go to a 47t center gear if traction is an issue. Gearing produces really good top end with a very smooth power band.

I know a lot of the GRP guys at my track love the OS P4 plugs. I know they were saying the trapper is off but the P4 seals up good enough and runs great.

With what I have read on the last couple of pages, the GRP 2053 give you better milage but the Dynamite 053 give you more power. Is that correct?

Anyone tried a .21 tuned or other GRP with the Trinity Bad Boy pipe?

I absolutely love the dynamite 053 on all my GRP .21's I haven't noticed that much of a difference from the 2053 pipe in mileage, but the 053 is so much more free. Easier and quicker to spool up and tons of mid-range power which is where most of my driving happens anyway. The 2053 pipe just felt so restrictive after using the 053.

I was attacked by the dreaded flameout monster last weekend at Wolcott Raceway's first club race. I flamed out twice in my first qualifier, twice on the second and once on my main. This engine has less than a gallon on it. Some say it likes a rich bottom end with a lean top end tune with a slightly high idle. I'm gonna try that tomorrow. I have the 2053 pipe setup running #5 GRP plugs with 30% Maxy's fuel. Jut when I think I get the right tune it just either runs flat on certain parts of the power band or just flames out. I'm gonna give it one more chance racing at Family Hobbies at Vineland, NJ. If it fails me, I'm going right back to my Novarossi's. It kinda sucks cuz I had high hopes for this engine from watching it perform last season. I even bought a second one as a back up.

From what I hear the engine hates the #5 plugs except when it is really warm out . Try a #4 .
