I would imagine, just racing with some of those guys, Kinwald, Cavalieri, Mayfield, Pavidis etc. etc., an awesome experience, I'm hoping, that at least once, I can participate in an event with those guys.

Ehhh, no thanks, the only time I run "Gas" it's when I go to Taco Bell
But seriously, I've never gotten into nitro, I had just one nitro car, HPI RS4 nitro, and had fun with it for a while, but I've never gotten into it.

Hey guys, this is beginning to look like another thread on the "tech". Let all step back and relax. These are toy cars, and are racing for toy trophies. Lets not get to the point when we start discouraging other racers from coming around to race with us by a bad night. Keep it cool and work it out.
First impressions are everything. By reading a few posts by certain users, and actions trackside by others, will DEFINETLEY put a dampner on prospect racers to be.

Well said Raul, well said. Last I checked, none of us had a 6 figure paycheck depending on how we finished during a Saturday Club Race! Guys if you start to feel like you're losing the fun, then watch the kids run. That keeps me coming back....seeing the excitement on their faces when they nail a big jump or hear the cheers when they make a killer pass. A hobby is supposed to be relaxing, let's all try to keep it like that! Don't make me break out into a chorus of "Koom-By-Yah"

Well put Mr. JoeThat's why I want to run my vintage truck for a while, have some fun running the OLE Truck, Imma leave the T4 and XXX at home for a couple of weeks, and run my RC10T and watch my daughter run her RC10T3

Can I run My 10T with the slash guys?? I'll be running a Stock Midnight motor and Vintage Tekin Speedo, old Futaba Radio, the only thing that's gonna be modern is the Lipo pack...

as for the sway. if dan does it then you need a new name. I think I have calmed down the swaying since I use a crate. Always use to do it at lesters though, to see around the freaking poles.
Kyle atleast you made the A-main. How was the turn out? I know you are a nitro guy so you must of enjoyed it.

Good job dustin' off the ole nitro cobwebs Kyle. I'm suprised you remembered how to tune a motor after all the lectric you've been running lately.
Did you burn your fingers trying to change your profile?
Mark, let me know when the RB5 comes in. I'm tired of driving around like a pinball. Damn Losi!

Hey Guys,
Back from the Cactus Classic!
Well, Will and I didn't do that good. The track was really tough to learn and we got there late on Thursday - so we got 3 minutes of practice time on the layout. With two qualifiers on Friday and two on Saturday we had a total of 23 minutes of track time before we raced the mains on Sunday.
Lesson 1. learned: Stay in Arizona one whole week for the Cactus Classic.
There were 40 heats. Running 2 qualifiers each Friday and Saturday was 80 heats! Thats about 6 hours between your races if you race one class.
Lesson 2. learned: Race 4wd, 2wd, and truck class to fill time. Alternative ways of killing time...going back to your hotel pool or the strip club for some beer and boobs untill your race. (Will and I choose the beer and boobs).
I won the "E" main of 4wd (out of 47 entries) and Will got 4th in "B" main (out of 14 entries) of old dude. We pitted with Bill Cline from Cline Hobbies that sponsored our 2008 Vintage Nationals, which was next to the X-Factory team. It was some great racing and the Pro drivers took all three races into triple A-mains to decide the winner. Ryan Maifield took the win in 2wd and truck, and Ryan Cavalieri took 4wd. The race program was run exceptionally well. They only awarded the A-mains though (humm, perhaps we award too much
). The track surface had an incredible amount of traction. They way they started their Ifmar qualifing was cool and I may try that at our shop.
Mark.

If there were 47 entries for 4wd what main did that go to. Is that F with 8 in each, and you won the E?
