Wow, alot of comments on Saturday's race. I hope I didn't cause too many problems though I know a couple of my qualifiers were not the best. That was my first night running 2wd buggy. Still getting a feel for the car and for the track. Had fun regardless. Thanks for the compliment Freddy. I'm looking forward to racing with all you guys again. I'll be there tonight.

Hey Mark and all you oldschool RC10 addicts...
Can you point me in the direction to get started building up a roller RC10 goldpan for vintage racing or finding an RTR? Looking for a nice budget racer I can use normal shotgun packs with on a regular basis and not be worried about hard to find parts breaking. Not sure what I am up against or if it might be better to stick with newer models. I am curious about 2WD buggy class and I could get my kicks with a nice fun vintage rig. I may get rid of my oldschool vintage tamiyas to try it out but I may keep them and just save up a bit.

Mark/John have an array of Vintage stuff in the shop, whether for sale or not, I couldn't tell ya.
Another way to get started would be by visiting RC10Talk.com, it's a website devoted to vintage RC10s and other vintage R/C cars, check them out.
As far as parts are concerned, those vintage cars are pretty durable, I ran my RC10T for a while before buying a T4, and never broke anything on it. I also ran a XX for quite some time in 2wd buggy, and again, very durable also, and never broke anything on it, except the rear arm mounting plate.
I would recommend sticking to a newer model though, due to the parts availability. Although the vintage stuff is durable, if you do break, you're out for the day, unless someone has any spare parts.
After the current points series, which ends on Saturday, I plan on running my Vintage RC10T for a while, just for fun....

Howdy Gents. Had a blast tonight racing my slash with the "came in the box" shocks that I got today in the mail.
Proud of myself for coming in second for the third week in a row. Gotta fine tune the suspension, not dialed in yet.
I agree with some of the posts that you guys are posting about having fun.
We actually need some more time in between heats for regrouping.
A few new comers tonight for the slash.
All in all, straight to the point is that your truck/car should be ready when you get there, instead of running around trying to fix it or try something new.
It's just a thought

Clean driving tonight, no hacking as you guys put it,

I laughed when I read that.
My batt dumped at the end of the race tonight and I didn't have enough juice, so I got delaped, which bites big hairy monkey balls. But oh well, thats racing.
I might show up sat to race my slash.
I might even pay the highly over rated fee of 25 dollars for the month
. Does that include anything?
