Sorry to hear you guys have had problems with this UK seller.
I had never heard of Fitzpatrick Models
I can mention some reputable UK shops which drivers in the UK only have good things to say about and which I have used myself;

Honest? HA!
I've just read this thread and remembered that I tried to order a motor off this guy a while ago. I ended up getting my money back via a paypal dispute after no replies to numerous phone messages and phone calls.
Never will I order from this guy again!

I got my money back in 2 days after I opened the paypal dispute. Even though my order was only for about $50US I threatened to take legal action. I know it would have cost me more than that but I hate dishonest people. Good luck.

Hi guys, I used to be the assistant manager of a model shop in the UK and thought I would put my 2p worth into this thread. it is a well known fact around the UK based shops that the suppliers run out of stock quite quickly. Half the time it is because they are waiting for their suppliers stock to come in, ready to be sent from the supplier to the shop but sometimes, if there is something 'special' with regards to a racing type of item, a few of the shops in the UK will put in mega sized orders to fill their own shop up with. That's fine and all, but it means that some of the other shops then cannot get the stock in for themselves. We used to take the customers details, and then find out if the supplier had the item in stock and how long it would take to get to us or if it was not in stock, how long it would take to get to them, and then to us. Whatever, we did n't take money (unless the customer wanted to leave a deposit) until the item was ready to be packaged up and sent out. We, at the time (7 years ago) did n't do internet type ordering but the same way in which we treated 'walk in's' would have been the same way that we treated any orders taken over the Internet. The bottom line is if we did n't have it to send out, we would n't charge for it! I have dealt with many of the UK shops since then and had no troubles. My local shop is Action Model Centre, although I normally just drive up there or order over the telephone rather than the Internet. Cheers, Chris.

I am sorry to read this and to add I have never heard of this shop.
I note no UK phone number has been listed ... it might be worth while doing a whois on the domain.
You need to tell them on the phone what the problem is and ask them to correct and send proof.
I am not sure if you guys are protected from the Distance selling regulations we have in the UK.
If you search, in the UK we have trading standards and they that might be able to help.
As a first port of call I would call one of their UK supplies and find out who they are. So try Schumacher.
If that does not work look on the BRCA site and look up the contact details of the club they list. I would then contact the secretary of the club and see if they can help.
Good luck
