Yea, well PS owes me a new engine

Just my 2 cents!! I t looks like a filter after it was cleaned with carb. or brake cleaner. I use warm soapy water, "DAWN-it takes grease out of the way"

It was brand new, fresh out of the package and well oiled, this was after 2 tanks of fuel.

those are outer elements ONLY.....the inner foam piece included with those is only so they maintain proper proportions in packaging, its NOT an inner element...........and PLEASE stop hating on peoples products for your mistakes.

umm, you bought a pack of outer filters. That foam in the middle is garbage, not supposed to cut them and use as inner filters. I wouldnt really consider that powersaves fault or that AE filter for that matter.

He is right those are not the right filters for the inner. The inner filter is much wider which is why it didnt work.

Good luck getting PS to replace your engine. I doubt very seriously they will do anything about it. Sorry to say....

why should they? its clearly obvious its NOT an inner element, I think they would probably LOL.

that quick the truth comes out. It appears to be the fault of the user. Clean it all up and get the right filter and try again. You might get lucky and still have a usable engine. It sucks (pun intended) but I've had engines suck dirt and get wasted in less then a gallon. $300 later I have a new engine to try it all over again.

Nowhere on the package does it say inner or outer element, nor did the package come with any type of instructions. So armed with absolutely NO information on them, and never having used them before you please tell me how that it USER error?

I understand your frustration, but at the same time....If you have ever read your AE manual, the illustration on pg.41 of the filter assembly alone would be enough for you to know right from wrong. Its NOT Power Saves fault, not even 1%......when you order something you look at/read the item desrciption, or you just know.......JM .02

hmmmm....

after you put it on the first time and realized that it didnt fit properly or you had to put 2 of them on to make it work right, you should have called the LHS, or PS for more instruction/information.

i would still call PS and play dumb, but dont get mad when they tell you to piss off

let it go, its YOUR fault...........if you dont know for sure, ALWAYS ask someone who is more knowledgable than you, its what I do all the time man
