or you can run Mugen bones....the CVD portion holds up Alot better to wear but the dogbone pin end takes all the wear...which imo is easier to press out and press in a new one as apposed to wearing the bone, Pinion out drive, and the weak losi pins every other week.

Always been that way for me usually when I rebuild the shocks I have to replace 50% of the rubber booties.

Can you guys please post the pro and cons about this car. I am seriously considering switching cars due to a lack of durability and part support in my area on my current car. The Hot Bodies D8.

I absolutely love it. Since Losi released the 8ight platform other companies have been scrambling to catch up with the technology and some are way behind. The 8ight buggy usually dominates in numbers at the 7 tracks I frequent since it has been released. The only con I can think of are the standard/ non-metric hardware used, otherwise this truck is the sh*!. I have never been to a track where I couldn't find the part I needed the support from Losi is awesome parts are in abundance. I ran a 1.0T last season and this thing was durable as all hell. I have flipped the 1.0 end over end at 25-30 mph and the thing kept on going. Last season I only DNF 2 times due to a broken Losi part. I am an average 2-3x per month club racer. Most of the little bugs like the rear hinge pins, lack of shim-able ring and pinion, shorter a-arms, lack of captured center CVD pins and throttle servo tray positioning have been addressed. The issue with the steering servo saver is the only issue that still remains and if you adjust it properly, make sure it is installed correctly and upgrade the upper piece to the alum part the problem is gone. I can't see any reason not to buy this truck. I'm sure the buggy is the same.

Thank you for your reply. I love the way my D8 handles. However, the more i run it the I am ending up working on it. The parts wear especially (the cvd pins) fast, and when I do break which have been the past couple weekends I cannot find the parts anywhere. Don't get me wrong I still do crash from time to time, but I am nowhere near a noobish driver who constantly crashes, I just have the occasional clipping. Losi does dominate my area too. How does the new 2.0 handle. I like my car to be locked up nice and tight, I really hate a loose rear end.

The only driveshaft on the new truck that is 1.0 compatible is the front center shaft. All the rest are longer.
um i have to disagree and i have proof. my front left drive shaft was bent and losi didnt have any in stock to send me, i was on a waiting list. so i took the drive shaft from my 1.0 and it works fine. its actually still on the 2.0 even after losi has sent me new driveshafts because i havent had any issues or wear either. i can take a picture if you want to prove it

Like Integra said, this is the case with the buggy but certainly NOT the truggy. Were in the truggy thread not the buggy thread.
