Let's revive this thread!

Here is my SC8 built from leftover parts from my RC8.2e and RC8T builds. I used the RC8T FT chassis, driveshafts, chassis braces and RC8.2E front and rear FT clips(by clips I mean front complete end as well as rear end). Then ordered the SC8 cage, body and bumpers. Guess the only upgrades are the ones that come with the FT kits. But this thing is solid. Plenty of nasty landings and only had a front skid plate break where it screws into the chassis.

Currently running a 1600kv XMAXX Motor with a Traxxas 8s ESC with dual 3600 mah 4s packs. Was running a 46t spur and 15t pinion. Now I'm using the steel 44t Spur and 18t pinion.

This Truck Absolutely ROCKS! Super Durable and fun. This is my go to bash truck at the moment. Never excited to Love this rig as much as I do. AE knocked it out of the park with this one.

Some footage.

Hi,
Is it easy to find parts for this model even though it has been discontinued?

Reason im asking , is because im thinking of getting one used.
Ill be using it both for bashing and racing out doors.
Wherr do you buy your parts if you need it? What parts do you often need to change?
Thanks,

Parts are readily available. Since it shares the same parts for a RC8.2.e Buggy and an RC8T Truggy.

Just shim the diffs. It's a tank. I would get the TBone Racing F/R bumpers. The only thing I've broken is the front bumper.

Also maybe get extra CVDs and center driveshafts as they tend to bend.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips.
For the cvt and central drive shaft, when ordering parts online, if it is for RC8e/ rc82e, would it fit? Or do i have to watch out for certain part numbers?
Thanks

It's a crap shoot in my experience.... I would look up the manuals on AE site and cross reference P/N's to see exactly what crosses over and doesn't.

what is a good replacement spring to use for this. I am looking for the part asc89350 but all online stores inlooked at dont stock them. What is a good replacement spring i can use. The reason i am asking is because i SC8e nose dives when I am jumping it. One solution that is suggested here is stiffer spring with heavier oil. Full throttle doesnt affect its flight.
