they are really pumping the electric 8s out...where are the electronics for them?

K_B 03-04-2009 04:52 PM

I guess it was only a matter of time before this came out. I wonder if they'll be releasing a nitro roller too. I know many people would rather have a roller than the RTR (mostly due to price).

Rfury 03-04-2009 04:56 PM

RC8e(not FT) must be just a few days away from announcement.

Rfury 03-04-2009 04:58 PM

BTW...I would rather race these (SC8e) than Slashes.

Wait, the press release recommends an ESC that is not even rated for the power needed for that truck. What gives?

charly71 03-04-2009 07:40 PM

on the rc10 web it states it dosent come with any electronics and comes with a clear body. this is how this truck should have came in the 1st place, maybye a.e. would have sold alot more of them ya know being the 1st 1/8th scale electric corr truck but oh well better late than never now maybey they will sell more of them im gonna guess a price tag of 525.00?

SWEET!!! At least now we have a choice between EP an NT. I am glad now it's in kit form, I think there are to many RTR's out there.

racenut123 03-05-2009 09:24 AM

I am assuming the cost should be right around 400.00 street price. The RC8te is priced at 399.00 at Amainhobbies and the retail price of these 2 trucks is about the same.

tschenck 03-05-2009 09:43 AM

amain has it listed for $429.99

Wow...and I was just thinking about getting a Caster Electric 1/8 buggy to have something to take out to the track this summer...even though I like the short course trucks getting into an SC8 elec conversion was just going to be far more than I really felt like spending. These new lower priced kits from AE will make it a heck of a lot easier to get into 1/8 electrics this year. Hope street price will be low $400's as folks have mentioned...that would rock.
