Default sidewinder 4600 or 5700

guys i no the 5700 can only run 2 cell lipos and the 4600 can run 3 cell.... to i think the 4600 on a 3 cell 11.1 should blow away a 5700 on two cell 7.4.....am i right???

From BYT (Tested in a RC10B4)

MAMBAMAX TOP SPEED CHART

On 6 cells:
4600kv motor ~ 30mph
5700kv motor ~ 35mph
7700kv motor ~ 45mph

On 2s lipo:
4600kv motor ~ 30mph
5700kv motor ~ 40mph
7700kv motor ~ 50mph

On 3s lipo:
4600kv motor ~ 45mph
5700kv motor ~ 60mph (BYT note: The 5700kv is the fastest!)

But the 5700 can run 3s so why not?

Since CC doesn't recommend the combo - their recommendations are based on a lot of testing, its the esc, Sidewinder thats the limitation.

Heck why are you limiting this to the 5700? Just get the MM and run a 9000.

thanks guys for you time.... when i asked the qestion i only had 2 sidewinders... and castle said a 4600 with a 3 cell with the right gearing in a b4 will smoke a 5700 on a two cell... 11.4/7.4 more volts more power... but i bought a mamba max yesterday so the table turned..lol i will run my t4 with a 5700 and b4 with a 4600 3 cell with the mamba

try a 7700 on 3 cell lipo. Talk about fast. I have ran a 7700 on three and it's unreal.

Probly not but it's not gonna a be HUGE difference. Way to many people think a 7.4 lipo hs a HUGE power advantage over a GOOD NIMH. From what I've seen anyway.

There are some video's on youtube of the 7700 on 3 cell in a TC. Without the right body you get lift off about 80mph with some great hang time.
Who will be the first to try the 9000 MM on 3 cells ?????

The difference is bigger in acceleration/punch than outright top speed in my experience. Generally top speed is fairly low current draw compared to hard acceleration, good lipos are better at higher current draws.
